Poseidon is pretty laid back and chill, but he has a strong heart. When you finally reach him, you can work together to help him complete his duties and restore his memories. Here’s everything you need to know to befriend the god of the sea in Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
How To Unlock Poseidon
To unlock Poseidon, you’ll need to unlock the door at the far west end of the temple, past Aphrodite’s Gardens. You’ll need three seals:
With all three seals, open the door and enter Flotsam Harbor. You’ll get to meet Poseidon, god of the sea, and start the process of recovering his lost memories.
If you don’t see Po, try waiting on a bench nearby or running some errands before trying again later. Po likes to sleep in.
Poseidon Friendship Level One
Poseidon’s job was to fill the fountains with water, though he hasn’t gotten around to it yet. Instead, it falls to you to help him fill up each of the fountains around the island. You can do this by using the magic conch shell he gives you.
On your map, all fountain locations in unlocked areas will be marked!
Head on out to start filling fountains. You’ll notice special markings on the ground with conch shells next to the fountains, indicating you can use your power here. When you fill the fountains, the fish statues inside will open their eyes and spew water out.
To reach level one, you’ll only need to refill three of the fountains. Once you’ve done that, return to Po to talk about his lost mementos. You need to collect the following items to restore his memories:
Po will grant you the ability to walk over the waterways at marked areas, so you can now reach remote areas of the island.
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Clay Turtle |
In the Cloud Atrium, to the east down a ramp, at the foot of a broken statue. |
Clay Dolphin |
In a barrel next to Hephaestus’ workshop, across the water. |
Clay Crab |
Behind the lighthouse, take the path over the water to reach a remote island. Here, you’ll find the clay crab buried in the sand. |
Give the momentos to Poseidon once you collect them. You’ll reach friendship level one and earn his trust, granting you use of the Cetus Seal and access to his personal chambers any time you like.
Poseidon Friendship Level Two
To reach friendship level two, take the magic conch shell out and fill more of the dried up fountains. This time, you’ll need to restore four of the fountains. Check your map to see which ones you’ve missed!
After you filled the fountains, you’ll be searching for mementos again. Below are the location for the next memento:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Stained Harpoon |
On the southern beach in a coconut tree, across the water. |
Since there’s only one this time, it’s easy to reach friendship level two. Once you give Poseidon the memento, he’ll tell you the sad story behind it and why he cares so much for the item.
Poseidon Friendship Level Three
To max out your relationship with Poseidon, you’ll have to fill up the remaining fountains and find the separated prongs of the trident lost to time.
Open your map and scroll around to make sure you don’t miss any of the fountains that might be hidden beneath the clouds, then move on to finding each of the remaining mementos:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Pitted Prong |
On the northeastern beach, head across the water to find this memento in a stack of barrels. |
Bent Prong |
You’ll find this buried behind Aphrodite’s house. |
Sacred Prong |
This can be found in Hades’ chambers, beneath a pillar in the back right corner. |
When you give these items to Poseidon, you’ll reach level three friendship with him and receive the god of the sea’s soulstone, which you can place in the Gaia Cavern.
What Can You Trade Ambrosia Fruit For With Poseidon?
When you reach friendship level one with Poseidon, you’ll be able to swap ambrosia fruit with him. Doing so allows you to get unique rewards, although it’s mandatory to trade with him if you want to complete the game.
Unlike some of the other gods, who offer purely cosmetic items, Poseidon fishes lost mementos out of the sea. It’ll cost you greatly for these items, as Poseidon doesn’t like the litter in the water, but he’ll happily give it to you for a price.
