WWE 2K25 May Miss Out On WWE’s New Women’s Championships

WWE 2K25 May Miss Out On WWE's New Women's Championships

WWE recently made huge news by announcing that new championship belts will be added to the women’s division. Recent history has seen two singles women’s world championships and a tag team championship as the main prizes for women on the main roster. WWE 2K25 coming out next year presents an interesting scenario of how these new titles will be incorporated.

Various modes will see the current championships involved and allow gamers to try to replicate a realistic approach to the television product. Unfortunately, WWE announcing this so late into 2024 could negatively impact the ability to add the new titles to full potential in WWE 2K25. Time will tell how these new belts impact the video game future of the wrestling world.

Timing Of New Championships Not Ideal For WWE 2K25

The release of WWE 2K25 in 2025 sees a lot of work going into the final product with everything starting in 2024. WWE’s video game constantly evolves to match the things WWE implements on the television show and general outreach as a brand. The Women’s United States Championship and Women’s Intercontinental Championship are the most important new women’s titles in many years for WWE.

WWE 2K25 may already be in the polishing stages after putting early time into the game’s most important features and modes. New important content will be difficult to add to specific modes or to the intricate extent that fans expect. Wrestling games risk losing the die-hard fan if things feel too far away from the current product.

MyRise is one pivotal WWE 2K game mode that could see the belts holding importance, but the odds are against the titles being included with how far along into development WWE 2K25 already is. Any game mode that features the title being actively named or involved will likely see the new titles snubbed since making changes will be nearly impossible to things already finalized.

My GM May Be Only Championship Mode To Benefit

WWE 2K25 Must Keep My GM Realistic By Adding New Titles For Fantasy Booking

MyGM mode is another important mode that sees the current-day championships involved for fans wanting to have the most realistic set-up to book Raw or Smackdown. The recent WCW and ECW versions have seen their past titles added to play into the realism. WWE 2K25 should have the technology to just patch in the belts to the game as an option for users to use in place of other titles or as a new championship for the brand.

One flaw of the inability to easily create custom titles holds back the game from letting users just create a Women’s Intercontinental Championship or Women’s United States Championship on their own. WWE 2K25 must add the titles to the database for the mode to have it included in the game and adhere to the goals of MyGM showing realism.

The titles are not guaranteed, which adds some fear, but common sense should see the developers doing the bare minimum to add new titles. Any fan wanting the experience of a General Manager would be let down by not getting to include titles that some major names will likely hold once officially on the roster.

WWE 2K25 Sees New Concepts Or Ideas Introduced By Triple H Every Few Months On TV

The current WWE product is the hottest it’s been since the early 2000s with record-breaking profits, live attendances, and PPV viewers. Triple H replacing Vince McMahon has led to the company thriving with audience interest growing. WWE 2K25 sees this becoming a double-edged sword by having to keep up with an ever-changing product.

  • WWE TV production changes must be represented in WWE 2K25
  • New and familiar faces signing with WWE must update rosters often
  • New titles change the balance of various game modes for Women’s Division

Triple H loves to “shake things up” and make the show feel unpredictable by making changes more frequently than McMahon did. WWE 2K25 will have to add many new things to the presentation since the new era of WWE sees the production changing drastically. However, titles are more important without the shades of gray like the other aspects of WWE.

WWE 2K26 may be the first time players get the full use of the new titles in a video game. Fans will hold out hope for WWE 2K25 working faster to include them, but MyGM should be the realistic fan goal. Any other modes will likely see WWE 2K25 already too far into development for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship and Women’s United States Championship to be included unless the developers go the extra mile.
