Hunter X Hunter has enjoyed an incredible run over the past few months since its return from a long hiatus. Every single chapter Togashi dropped was an incredible one, and the story has been only getting better with every new release. Hunter X Hunter 410 is the last chapter Togashi will release in this batch before going on a hiatus. This means that hopefully, chapter 410 will be very memorable and amazing, if not the best in the batch.

Fans can expect an amazing chapter this weekend, with possible focus on the cause of the Martial Law, and perhaps more on what is happening with Morena and Borksen.

Borksen Gains Her Nen Ability

She Must Witness a Murder by One Of the Heil-Ly

In the past three HxH chapters, chapters 407, 408, and 409, the focus was uniquely on two characters for the most part: Morena Prudo, the head of the Heil-Ly, and Borksen, one of Tserriednich’s personal army members. Borksen was kidnapped by Morena and forced into a card game to decide her fate. Whether she would join her, die, or be able to leave was to be decided. At the end of the game in HxH 409, Borksen ended with the card that could allow her to leave unscathed. However, she decided she wanted to join Morena, so she drew the Yes Card from the graveyard.

This means that, now, Borksen is a member of the Heil-Ly. Borksen will soon also gain a Nen ability, as she has already completed two of Morena’s three criteria for Contagion to take effect. She has kissed Morena, and she has ended the card game with a Yes. The only thing that remains to be done is to witness a murder committed by Morena herself or any Heil-Ly member. Fans could definitely see this happen in the next chapter as the Heil-Ly murder someone, likely a random character, or maybe even an important one, such as one of Borksen’s comrades from Tserriednich’s personal army who are looking for her everywhere.

Either way, once that is done, Borksen will be affected by Contagion, and be able to gain a Nen ability without going through all the rigorous training needed to attain one. Borksen is a specialist, so whatever ability she will have, will probably be impressive, especially as Morena has a special plan for her, most likely. Borksen will also have to start killing people, something that she might struggle with doing. Overall, however, Borksen has the potential to become one of Morena’s best people.

Borksen might, however, have ulterior motives to join Morena and might not be loyal to her. Borksen could simply want Morena to be stopped from recruiting anybody else, as with Borksen, Morena reaches her limit with Contagion, so she can’t affect anybody else. Borksen will be very relevant next chapter, and later on as well.

Why Was Martial Law Declared?

The Reason Will Be Revealed in HxH 410

A major event that took place recently in HxH was the declaration of Martial Law. Martial Law gives all the power to the Kakin military, and puts Benjamin in control. It’s unknown right now why martial Law has been declared, but there are a few possible options here. It’s important to note that the last chapter confirmed that Martial Law is not affecting the lower tiers 4 and 5 and is only really affecting tiers 3, 2, and 1.

The first explanation that might be revealed in the next chapter as to what happened to make Benjamin declare martial law has to do with none other than Ninth Prince Halkenburg. Halkenburg has a huge role to play, and he hasn’t had any focus in the last chapters. However, fans know that he has taken over the body of Might, one of Benjamin’s men. In Might’s body, Halkenburg wants to go on and attempt to eliminate Benjamin. Something could have gone wrong with this plan, causing Benjamin to declare martial law.

Halkenburg might’ve reached Benjamin and tried his shot at eliminating him but failed, or he might have been too slow and Might could’ve taken back control over his own body.

Another possibility is that Luzurus, the 7th Prince, was assassinated. As fans have seen from previous chapters, Kaiser, Melody, and Beast Kocho, wanted to eliminate Luzurus. They suspected he was involved in the awful state Fugetsu is in. They believe that they are running out of time and have to act fast, and if that continues, Fugetsu will die soon. This rashness might have led them to go through with their plan and kill Luzurus, who is a mafia benefactor. While they will try to pin his death on a drug overdose, Benjamin might blame it on the mafia, and declare Martial Law as a result.

The third option involves Chrollo Lucilfer. As fans have seen recently from Chrollo, he is after the three Kakin National Treasures to evolve his Nen ability, Skill Hunter. These treasures must be very well hidden, and of course, they hold a lot of value, especially as they have a huge role to play in this Succession War. Chrollo might have possibly already stolen one of these treasures, if not all, if they are hidden together. A heist of this level would definitely warrant Martial Law being declared. If these artifacts are stolen, it’s even possible that the Succession War itself could be compromised.

Whatever happens, Martial Law will have a dire impact on all the events unfolding. Readers could soon see the deaths of more Princes and beloved characters as the Black Whale delves deeper into chaos.

Many fans were theorizing Morena could have had a hand in causing Martial Law to be declared, but her shocked face and distress would indicate it was not a part of her plan for this to happen.

When Will Hunter x Hunter Chapter 410 Be Released?

Chapter 410 of HxH will be the last of the batch. After that chapter, the Hunter x Hunter manga will go on a hiatus, and fans will have to wait sometime for 411 to be released. This is unfortunate, but Togashi is still working on HxH, and this hiatus will hopefully not be too long.
