A pair of Pokemon fans have created an incredible one-of-a-kind Scyther pendant made out of silver, wire, and gems. The impressive creation has drawn a lot of attention from the Pokemon community, and is a truly unique work.

Pokemon fans have created tributes to individual Pokemon in just about every kind of medium imaginable. While drawing is the most common, more obscure forms of art have also been utilized, like creating Pokemon stained glass or figurines. In this case, two artists put their talents together to create something quite impressive.

On Reddit, Pokemon fan floatingcruton shared the creation, which they made in collaboration with fellow artist lady.manipura. The pendant is round and mostly flat, with a raised-relief of the Bug/Flying-type Pokemon in the center. Scyther has its claws pulled back beside and behind it, with a gem centered between them. The shiny pendant was made utilizing argentium silver, silver wire, chrome diopside, peridot, sapphire, danburite, and aquamarine, making it a genuinely high-quality piece that a Scyther fan would likely be thrilled to own.

Pokemon Fans Celebrate Impressive Scyther Work

Plenty of users have shared their praise for their art, admiring the overall piece and the way the gem was set to make it look like Scyther is charging up an attack. The OP responded to several comments, explaining that lady.manipura handled the metal work, while floatingcruton created the silver wire that surrounds Scyther and serves as a background for the piece. One fan expressed wanting it, and those who feel the same way will be interested to know that it is on sale in lady.manipura’s store. The pendant costs $550, which while a significant chunk of change, seems appropriate given the hand-crafted design, work, skill, and valuable materials that went into the creation.

Scyther has been around since Gen 1 of the Pokemon games, but despite its age, it has remained a popular Pokemon in the franchise as a whole. Fans have previously dedicated a lot of time and effort to creating Scyther fan works. In addition to illustrations, Scyther has had massive bead creations and even origami recreations. Although Scyther did receive a new evolution in the form of Scizor back in Gen 2 and Kleavor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the original Pokemon seems to be the most popular to this day. Scyther has also had the honor of being featured in the Pokemon series numerous times, including as a team member of more than one of Ash’s companions.
