Path of Exile 2: How To Get Points

Path of Exile 2: How To Get Points

Getting Early Access to Path of Exile 2 requires players to purchase an Early Access key, but PoE 2 is set to be a free-to-play game when it launches in 2025. As a free-to-play game, Path of Exile 2 microtransactions are available for players to purchase, including cosmetic appearances, unique armor transmog, and even gameplay additions like Stash Tabs and extra UI options.

Path of Exile 2: How To Upgrade Item Rarity

To upgrade Item Rarity, Path of Exile 2 players must use one of two specific PoE 2 upgrade currencies.

To purchase items in the MTX store, Path of Exile 2 players have to use Points. To get Points for MTX, PoE 2 players must either purchase them directly or purchase a pack that includes Points as one of the rewards.

How To Get More Path of Exile 2 MTX Points

There are currently two ways to get Points in Path of Exile 2: purchasing Supporter Packs or purchasing Points directly. Points cost 1$ for every 10 Points – $10 for 100, $20 for 200, etc – if you choose to buy them directly.

If you get a Supporter Pack, though, you will get the equivalent Points to the cost of the pack in addition to everything else each pack comes with. So, a $60 Supporter Pack will grant 600 PoE 2 MTX Points as well as the contents of the pack. Buying a PoE 2 Supporter Pack is a better deal than purchasing Points directly, but if you don’t like the cosmetics and extra goodies each Supporter Pack comes with, the direct purchase is still an option.

Purchase A Supporter Pack To Get PoE 2 Points Based On Cost

To purchase a Supporter Pack, players can either go to their platform’s Microtransaction/DLC tab for Path of Exile 2, go to the Path of Exile 2 MTX shop in a browser, or open up the Microtransaction menu in-game. You can find Supporter Packs for purchase in each of these locations, but some Supporter Packs are not listed on all platforms.

Path of Exile 2: How To Equip Support Gems

In Path of Exile 2, Support Gems work a bit differently than they did back in PoE 1.

For example, the $160, $240, and $480 packs are not available on Steam, but are available through the PoE 2 website and in-game.

There are six Early Access Supporter Packs in PoE 2 that will each grant Points equal to the cost of the pack.

  • Tier 1: Early Access Supporter Pack
  • Tier 2: Lord of Ogham Supporter Pack
  • Tier 3: King of the Faridun Supporter Pack
  • Tier 4: Thaumaturge of the Vaal Supporter Pack
  • Tier 5: Warlord of the Karui Supporter Pack
  • Tier 6: Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack

There are also numerous Supporter Packs available for the original Path of Exile which will grant Points that you can use in the Path of Exile 2 MTX shop.

Purchase PoE 2 MTX Points Directly In-Game Or On The PoE 2 Site

If you don’t want to buy a Supporter Pack, and would rather purchase Points outright, head to either the Path of Exile 2 store in your browser or the Microtransaction menu in-game. Here you will see three Tiers of PoE 2 Points that scale up to $20.

  • 50 Points: $5
  • 100 Points: $10
  • 200 Points: $20

Later in the lifetime of Path of Exile 2 Points options for purchase may expand. For now, if you want to buy more than 200 Points at once, you will have to purchase them individually in increments of 50, 100, or 200.
