If players want to get their hands on Caliburn to unleash scorn upon the undead hordes and fry their rotting flesh, then look below to find the detailed steps that players need to make acquiring the Dragon Fire Sword in Black Ops 6 simple and efficient.
Step 1: Acquire the Dragon Bastard Sword
The Dragon Bastard Sword is acquired from the Dining Hall once players interact with the knight statue on the first left as they access this mighty room. The Dragon Knight is noted by the crest on his chest, which contains the sigil of a dragon. Players can interact with this statue with a Stamp in their inventory to see the statue reward the non-upgraded Dragon Sword.
Step 2: Sheathe the Sword in the Dragon Statue
Once players have acquired the Dragon Bastard Sword, they can immediately leave the Dining Hall and head into the Entrance Hall. When facing Jugger-Nog, players might notice a staircase. Players can take these stairs and head up to the center, where a statue of a dragon can be interacted with to sheathe the Dragon Sword and activate the dragon’s need for fire.
Step 3: Interact with Three Fire Basins and Return Them to the Dragon
Now that players have given their Dragon Sword to the dragon statue, there will be three burning basins that can be found around the map. These basins will always be found in the same spots, and they can be interacted with in any order. All players need to do is approach the basin and hit the interact button to engulf themselves in flame, which they can then carry to the dragon statue and interact with it to give it the fire.
Before showing every fire basin location, it’s worth noting that upon picking up the fire, players are imbued with a faster sprint to reach their destination quicker, due to the fact that the fire damage will consume 15 HP per second, so it’s advised to have Jugger-Nog for this step, and perhaps Melee Macchiato with the vampiric Extraction Major Augment to heal from melee kills. It’s also worth noting that players regain all their health with a melee kill while on fire, and if players feel it’s too risky, they can drop the fire at any time with Triangle/Y.
The Three Fire Basin Locations
Head into the Courtyard where the fire basin will be located in the Village Ramparts, in the left corner next to an ammo crate just to the right of the cannon. Players can easily take this one to the dragon statue as they just need to drop down the wall and head up the stairs.
Return to the spawn area of the Town Square, where the second fire basin can be found just to the left of the Town Square in the Nature Path section. Players will need to run with this fire through the Hilltop and up the Courtyard to the dragon statue. It’s pretty far away, so feel free to melee-kill zombies on the way.
The third and longest journey for the fire basin is within the Town Square, where just next to the Rampage Inducer will be the fire basin itself. Players should head through the Village area of the right side of the map to reach the dragon statue quicker.
Step 4: Interact with the Dragon Statue to Obtain Caliburn
The fourth and final step to get Caliburn in Citadelle des Morts is to interact with the dragon statue once all three fires have been delivered. The dragon statue will breathe new flame onto the sword, and players will now be able to pick up the Caliburn Wonder Weapon Sword.
If players feel like trading Caliburn or simply giving it up, then they can head back to the Dining Hall and interact with the Dragon Knight statue that they claimed it from, and from here, the statue will hold the Sword until players want it again.
Is the Caliburn Dragon Sword Good?
Caliburn is an excellent choice for the Bastard Swords due to how it utilizes the same effects as the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod. Each slash from this dedicated melee weapon will deal excellent damage but also fire damage when charged. Players can also use a Special Attack for the sword with L2+R2 which will see the sword throw three fireballs. These fireballs are volatile and extremely explosive, and while they may kill anything in sight, they will also injure the player’s health and armor if they do not have PhD Flopper.
