This location is one of the most difficult to access in the game. The entrance to it is in the Vertigo location, which can be reached by jumping into one of the strange whirlpools. But the entrance there is blocked by huge gates. To open them, you need to meet two conditions:

How to Catch the Ancient Depth Serpent
Once you have opened the gates and completed a short course on the way to the Depths location, you need to start preparing for fishing.
The Ancient Depth Serpent is of Exotic rarity, so you will need the best bait in Fisch. The in-game description tells players to use the Truffle Worm. However, we also recommend that you stock up on Shark Head bait.
You should also use a suitable fishing rod. The best options would be the Rod of The Forgotten Fang or the Celestial Rod. But the good old Steady Rod will also work.
It is important to note that most of the time the Ancient Depth Serpent is not available for catching in Fisch, as you need to wait for the Absolute Darkness event. It happens randomly and exclusively in the Depths location. During it, an abundance area of the Ancient Depth Serpent appears at a random point in the location.
