The Engineer class in Delta Force has access to a number of high-caliber assault rifles, one of which is the SCAR-H. This gun was among the most popular picks for players during the game’s early tests due to its accuracy and stopping power, and while it’s not quite the same as before, the SCAR-H is still a very good gun to use.
If you’re looking for a weapon to dominate those close-mid-ranged sightlines as an Engineer, then the SCAR-H should be at the top of your list of guns to consider. It’s a great pick for all of Delta Force’s game modes, especially large-scale Warfare. Here’s one setup for the rifle that sacrifices speed for consistency and ease-of-use.

Best SCAR-H Attachments in Delta Force
The SCAR-H is an Engineer-exclusive battle rifle that excels at medium range encounters. It has a relatively slow fire rate, but it packs a strong punch that can put targets down in four chest hits up to 40m away, though it is relatively hard to control without the proper attachments. The following setup aims to tone the weapon’s recoil down while maintaining mid-range dominance.
Slot |
Attachment |
---|---|
Barrel |
SCAR-H Beaver Long Barrel |
Muzzle |
Bastion Horizontal Compensator |
Foregrip |
X25U Angled Combat Grip |
Magazine |
30-round Mag with Mag Mount |
Rear Grip |
M7 Stable Grip |
Stock |
Cardinal Stable Stock |
Optic |
Viewpoint 3x Scope |
With this setup, the SCAR-H will have the following stats:
- Damage: 25
- Range: 46m
- Control: 78
- Handling: 36
- Stability: 54
- Accuracy: 41
You should be able to score easy hits on enemies with the first few shots of a burst, even with a magnified optic from up to 50m away, though using magnified scopes is purely optional. We recommend the Viewpoint 3x Scope because it has a clean sight picture, and 3x zoom distance is usually decent for slow-firing guns like the SCAR-H. Much like the AKS-74 in Delta Force, the SCAR-H’s muzzle doesn’t climb as quickly as some other weapons, and the recoil is still manageable even with the zoomed-in field of view.
You can also use a drum mag instead of the 30-round one, but your gun’s stats will take a notable hit. You can compensate for any lost stats by equipping handguard rails of your preference.

Calibration
Weapon Calibration sets Delta Force apart from the Battlefield games. This system lets players min-max their weapons, improving certain stats at the cost of others.
For the SCAR-H, we recommend tuning the Stock to favor Firing Stability and Aiming Stability while Breathing. Calibrate your Barrel to favor Firing Stability as well. Doing this should help you with aiming while making the SCAR-H’s firing pattern feel a bit smoother. However, this will make the weapon handle even slower, making it cumbersome in close-range encounters.
The Aiming Stability while Breathing stat will help you center your crosshair at your target more easily if you hold your breath while aiming down sights. The SCAR-H tends to sway harshly to the sides while aiming, so you’ll want to hold your breath before you pull the trigger. Naturally, this won’t be necessary if your target is up close, but doing so is worth emphasizing, especially since the Hold Breath mechanic is so easy to overlook.
