In Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, you play as Alex–a young woman stranded on an island lost to time. Here, the Greek gods have lost their memories and personal belongings, and only you can reunite them and get to the bottom of the mystery shrouding the island. It won’t be easy, but that’s why we’re here to guide you!
Hades is the last god you’ll meet, and by then, you’ll have a good idea of what he acts like. When you get to know him, though, he might surprise you. Here’s everything you need to know to find Hades and max out your friendship with him.
How To Unlock Hades
To unlock Hades, you’ll need to have received the second seal, the Cerberus seal, from Zeus and Hera. From there, head to the northeastern beach and use the seals you’ve collected to open the door beneath the giant skull cavern. You’ll need these additional seals:
Once you’re inside the Underworld, you’ll find Hades across from his fluffy guard dog, Cerberus. Unlike the other gods, Hades hasn’t lost all his memories, nor has he abandoned his duties as a god. However, he could still use your help.
Hades Friendship Level One
To reach friendship level one with Hades, you’ll have to help him guide lost spirits back to the Underworld. They’ve escaped and get spooked easily. Hades gives you the glowing skull whistle so you can guide them back with ease.
The ghosts only come out at night, so you may have to wait to find them.
You can find the ghosts in the following places:
- On the southwestern beach. Head up the stairs towards the door into the temple to find this ghost.
- In Flotsam Harbor. Beside the wind turbine, you’ll find this ghost.
- On the northern beach. Here, head out onto the docks towards the west to find this little ghost.
- At the temple entrance. Just before the portal hub, you’ll find this ghost to the left.
- In the eastern section of the temple. Cross over the bridge, then circle back to find this spirit tucked away in the corner.
- On the bridge to Athena’s tower. Close to the portal and just before the fountain, you’ll find this lost spirit.
Return to Hades after the ghosts have been returned to the Underworld to start looking for his lost mementos. You can find them all in these locations:

Once you bring them to Hades, you’ll reach friendship level one and gain access to his personal chambers at any time!
Hades Friendship Level Two
The next steps are to find more of the little lost spirits, and more of Hades’ precious mementos. Remember that the spirits only come out at night, so plan ahead and act fast to maximize your time. Start your search here:
- In Ares’ Orchard. You can find this spirit down by the sapphire lore column.
- By the lighthouse. Take the path across the water from your lighthouse to find this lost spirit by the wind turbine.
- In Athena’s tower. Over by the staircase, you’ll find this little ghost.
- Above Aphrodite’s Gardens. On the ledge above the doorway to the gardens, you’ll find this ghost.
- In the Gaia Cavern. You’ll find this spirit behind the Gaia tree.
While you search for the spirits, keep an eye out for the next set of Hades’ mementos. You’ll need the following items:

When you have them all, bring them to Hades to reach level two friendship with him!
Hades Friendship Level Three
The final set of spirits will be unlocked at level two, so you can finally reach level three. You’ll have to go ghost hunting as usual, and you can find each of the spirits here:
- Inside the lighthouse. You’ll find this ghost along the blocked staircase.
- Next to Hephaestus’ workshop. Take the path across the water to find this spirit next to a pair of barrels.
- In Aphrodite’s Gardens. In the alcove next to Aphrodite’s room, you’ll find a lost spirit.
- On the southwestern beach. You’ll find this spirit near the spot where you first arrived.
There’s only one memento this time, and you can get it from Poseidon. You can swap 150 ambrosia fruit with Poseidon to get the soulstone shard. When you take it to Hades, you’ll reach friendship level three.
From there, you’ll get the rest of Hades’ soulstone. To reunite the shards, you’ll have to dip them in the water under the Gaia tree.
What Can You Trade Ambrosia Fruit For With Hades?
Once you reach friendship level one with Hades, you can start trading ambrosia fruit. In exchange, Hades will give you secret treasure maps.
Since Hades is the last god you meet, you won’t be able to get these maps any earlier.
While these are completely optional maps, you can use them to find secret treasures and complete your pin badge collection! If you’re a completionist, these badges are a must-have.
