To start collecting them, you’ll need to get used to the game’s different currencies. And with how many of these are available, it can be a bit confusing to know which of them unlocks what. But all of them are useful if you want to look a bit cooler in the battlegrounds. Ready to learn what you need to know? Let’s dive in.

Where To Get And Use Currencies In Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals has three different types of currency, with one of them working as an intermediate between them. While you can get some coins through gameplay, you’re usually expected to spend some real-life currency to get them.

Lattice

Lattice is the premium, general currency in Marvel Rivals, which can be exchanged for others at a one to one rate. They cannot be used to buy anything directly, and you’ll always need to convert them to other currency to get new items.

You can only get them by spending real money in the Store, with prices varying between packs and adjusted to your country of residence.

They’re also a reward from the Luxury BattlePass, but you still need to spend money for that.

Units

Units are the blue coins used to get skins, bundles, and other items in the Store. They can mainly obtained by exchanging Lattice for them, and you rarely see them given out as rewards. To convert Lattice to Units, click on the Units icon and select how many you wish to convert.

However, certain events such as Entangled Moments may award you some Units as reward for some of its harder missions. It’s not enough to get a bundle, but you can start saving them for a while.

Another free method to get Units is completing Achievements in the Heroic Journey category. They all involve specific interactions with characters, such as defeating enemies with a certain skill or interacting with another character in some way.

Chrono Tokens

Chrono Tokens is the main currency you can get by playing the game. These are used to buy items from the seasonal BattlePass, and are obtained by completing its various missions. These missions usually involve simple objectives you naturally complete over the course of a match.

You won’t be able to buy all BattlePass items unless you get the Luxury BattlePass for 490 Lattice.

BattlePass missions are refreshed daily, and there are also Challenge and Seasonal missions that give you a few more coins and are a bit more complex. Achievements will also award you some Chrono Tokens occasionally, but it’s usually much less than missions.

Events, surveys, and other promotions (such as Twitch Drops) can also get you some Tokens for free, so you’ll rarely be missing out on them. You can also convert your Lattice into these by selecting the Chrono Tokens icon in the Season tab. Lattice is still better spent on Units, as these are much harder to get normally.
