The contents of Limited Run’s physical collector’s edition of Yakuza 3 Remastered have been revealed as it goes live for pre-order. Yakuza 3 was originally released back in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and has since been remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
A few months ago, Limited Run Games announced it’ll be releasing physical copies of all seven titles in the original Kazuma Kiryu Yakuza series, including the prequel Yakuza 0. Each game has its own collector’s edition packed with goodies, and is being released one-by-one in chronological order, starting with Yakuza 0, and ending with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of the original 2005 game, have already been sold out on Limited Run’s website, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will only be available for another few days.

Judging by Limited Run’s rollout of these first four Yakuza games so far, it can be assumed that the next entry in the series, Yakuza 4 Remastered, may go up for pre-order in the opening days of January as Yakuza 3 Remastered‘s window closes. If the monthly cadence holds firm, that would put Yakuza 5 Remastered up in early February, and the final game in Limited Run’s Yakuza series drops, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, up in early March. As for the third mainline entry in the legendary action game franchise, Like a Dragon series director Masayoshi Yokoyama strongly hinted at RGG Studio doing a Kiwami remake of Yakuza 3 earlier this year, but there haven’t been any further updates since.
Meanwhile, fans of the Like a Dragon franchise are getting excited about the release of the next chapter, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which stars fan-favorite yakuza Goro Majima in a bizarre and epic pirate adventure around Hawaii that takes place after the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The standalone side story has already become one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and is releasing on February 21, the same month as other massive games such as Xbox’s Avowed, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds.
