This Mew ex may look like a standard Double Rare, but the PLAY! Pokemon stamp on the bottom right distinguishes it from the version you’ll find in Scarlet & Violet’s 151 set.

Since this card was released in August 2024, its TCG career hasn’t had much time to blossom, but Mew still saw its price skyrocket from roughly $40 to over $100 before settling in at the current market price. Time will tell if this card will become one of Mew’s most desirable.

The Southern Islands promo set is easily one of the most iconic of all time, flaunting a fantastic roster of Pokemon enjoying an adorable time on a tropical island. Mew appears alongside parts of Pidgeot and Charizard, as those Pokemon make a guest appearance in this rainbow scene.

This card continues to rise in value, as it once sat close to the $100 mark but has steadily climbed from that plateau up into the $110 range, creating a staircase pattern with its price chart as this card’s value swells. Mew’s popularity and rarity will keep this card on an upward trajectory.

While you may struggle to find this card from a pack, it’s not hard to see why this art makes its home among the most valuable Mew cards of all time, boasting a beautiful, bright scene on a clear day.

Pop Series 5 is exceptionally rare and contains only two cards per pack, with the Umbreon Star standing tall as the most desirable chase card from the limited edition set.

Much like the prior entry, this Mew is affordable in damaged condition, but quickly soars into the $55+ range when it comes to MP copies, though you may find one for less. LP cards command close to the $110 market price, while NM copies remain rare, with a sale at $140.

Mew Ex: Holon Phantoms (Ultra Rare) – $142.52

A Mesmerizing Mew

Mew’s Holon Phantoms art offers one of the most unusual Mew illustrations in the Pokemon TCG, focusing on the Pokemon’s body as the center of a swirling hypnotic pattern created by its tail. This card does its job well, as the stretched light patterns in the background make it hard to look away.

You’ll find NM copies of this card well into the 100s, as the best copies can sell for about $140, with an LP sale at $145 to support this. Examining the card is much more important than trusting its condition categorization as TCGplayer, so sometimes LP cards can be in a nicer condition than you might think.

Simple And Cute

This Mew card perfectly encapsulates the cute, simple beauty of this Mythical Pokemon’s bubbly and mischievous personality.

This card also boasts a reverse foil version which sells for a little less than the holo version. For comparison, LP copies of the holo can command upwards of $174 while the reverse version caps out below the $120 mark, leaving a significant gap between the two versions.

While Mew doesn’t need help to support the price of its most valuable cards, Mewtwo’s appearance alongside Mew makes this stunning Secret Rare one of the most expensive cards in Unified Minds.

These Pokemon each boast simple color palettes that provide the perfect canvas for the rainbow recolor.

This card’s NM price is back on the rise, as it began 2024 in a tailspin, dropping from its former value above $150, before eventually rebounding back into the $160 range. This card is much newer than the rest, so NM copies are the only ones that will command close to the full market price.

This Mew offers stunning artwork from Legend Maker, one of the best sets from the EX era. While close-ups of this Pokemon aren’t as rare as some, this version focuses on the bold and beautiful pink color chosen for Mew’s design.

This card’s value continues to climb, with MP copies reaching highs of $65, while LP and NM cards command prices solidly between $150 and $170. With a market price that averages the highest sales, this card is likely to remain among the top three most expensive Mew cards for the foreseeable future.

A Meteoric Rise

From the moment Paldean Fates was released, it was clear this Mew ex SIR, affectionately known as “Bubble Mew” stood out as one of the top cards in the set. While Charizard dominated the price charts in the early stages after release, Mew’s ascent up the charts has been nothing short of historic.

Mew spent much of 2024 floating around the $80 to $100 range until it began its explosive run starting in October, where it jumped from $108 and kept climbing through December to reach a market price that exceeded $300. Mew keeps breaking barriers, and while it cannot be expected to rise indefinitely, it has exceeded every expectation of when its rise would slow down.

Mew Star: Dragon Frontiers (Delta Species) – $486.21

Deserving A Blue Ribbon

This gorgeous blue Mew is the perfect shiny color for this Pokemon, as it swaps its classic cotton candy pink palette for the blue cottony treat instead. As one of the most valuable cards from Dragon Frontiers, Mew Star can be difficult to find, causing massive shifts in TCGplayer sales data.

HP copies have sold for as little as $349 and as much as $450 in 2024, leaving plenty of room for price shifts based on the condition of the card you’re considering. If you want a clean copy that you can grade, it will cost serious cash, with LP sales posted at $500 while an NM card sold for $1,2000, leaving plenty of upside for this Mew.
