Fans who have been patiently waiting for an update on season 5 of The Boys will be excited to see a small glimpse through a set photo. The Boys was originally released in July 2019 on Amazon Prime, and has been running on the platform ever since, with the fifth season being its final. This season has been filming since November 2024, and will continue into 2025, with the possible release date landing sometime in the summer of 2026.
The Boys is a dark satire centered around superheroes that have become celebrities, and because of this, they become increasingly arrogant and self-serving, often doing things for personal gain or just causing absolute chaos instead of helping anyone around them. In particular, The Seven are a corrupt team managed by Vought International, while The Boys are led by Billy Butcher and attempt to take down the corrupt group.

In a new photo shared to X by Eric Kripke, the creator and one of the writers of The Boys, fans get to see some of the gang together again in their classic suits, including Chace Crawford, who portrays The Deep, Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, and Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir, alongside Eric Kripke. The picture was shared early in the day on December 4, 2024, and many are excited to see the group in action again.

As the fourth season wrapped up back in July 2024, fans have been waiting for months to hear any kind of news for the final season of The Boys. Although the image shared by Eric Kripke is only a small glimpse into what is to come, fans are at least excited to see that some of their favorites will be returning to their roles, especially Homelander, a fan favorite. Though viewers will still have to wait a good while before the season is released, fan reactions have been positive over the image shared.
