Joe Manganiello is joining Netflix’s One Piece as Crocodile and he appears perfect for the role in one epic fan art.

Vincent Regan, who plays Vice Admiral Garp on the show, shared some details about his filming experience for the upcoming One Piece Season 2 and hinted that there could be third and fourth seasons to capture the whole storyline that had been planned. , “I guess they’ll start filming season 3 pretty soon, and I think they are doing- I think it’s called the Albasta story arc. I think it’s going to take two seasons,” Regan said at Vienna Comic-Con (via Comicbook). He also teased some exciting things that fans can expect when the series returns. “What I’ve seen of the designs, drawings, and when I was there, there was some really fun stuff being shot there at the moment,” he added.

That’s not all, Regan shared when fans can expect One Piece Season 2. At the time of the conference, Regan just finished filming his part and if they followed the timeline, according to him, the production might be done before Christmas 2025. He suggested that Netflix might drop the anticipated second season next holiday. “I’ve come back from South Africa now. I’ve filmed season 2, everything my character is doing in season 2 is finished, and now they are finishing in about a month, I think they’ll finish filming. So I think the show will be ready for Netflix before Christmas next year,” he explained.

There is no doubt that many are waiting for One Piece Season 2 and Regan hinting that the series could return for more seasons is excellent news. The first season was so impressive that many can’t get enough of the show. There are also rumors that the next season will have fewer episodes, suggesting that One Piece could indeed return for another season. However, since there are no official words from Netflix about Seasons 3 and 4, one should take Regan’s words with a grain of salt.

Per Regan, One Piece Season 2 aims for a Christmas 2025 release. That means fans must wait over a year to witness Luffy and his friends’ next adventure. That’s a long wait, but not that lengthy compared to other series that could take three years or more to return. Squid Game, for instance, debuted on Netflix in September 2021. However, Squid Game Season 2 will premiere on December 26, 2024. There’s a three-year gap between the two seasons. Hence, if the second season of One Piece arrives in 2025, then it’s not really a long wait and will be a great holiday treat. Among the things fans are looking forward to seeing is Joe Manganiello’s portrayal of Crocodile.
