Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 system requirements offer hope for older gaming PCs

What are the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 system requirements? This anticipated heavy-hitting medieval RPG sequel will be pretty kind to older gaming PCs and laptops, with reasonable specs at the lower end. Gamers with newer rigs, meanwhile, won’t struggle to max out those frame rates.

To play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 when it releases, you’re not going to need the most powerful PC out there, unless you’re playing on the highest Ultra graphics preset at high resolution. If that’s the case, you’ll need one of the best graphics card models you can buy to run the game at 1440p or 4K resolution. For basic 1,080p gaming at 30fps, however, an older card, such as the GTX 1060 will do the job.

If you’re concerned whether or not your gaming PC has the mettle to battle through medieval Bohemia, you can take our Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 system requirements PC benchmark test to answer… Can I run Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?

The Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 minimum system requirements are pretty reasonable, all factors considered. You’ll need at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card, along with an Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 gaming CPU, plus 16GB of RAM to get this game running at 1,080p with a target 30fps frame rate.

That means owners of gaming PCs and laptops bought or built within the last seven or eight years should be able to run around with their swords flailing high, although 30fps is going to feel a bit choppy these days.

Taking the settings up a notch, the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 recommended system requirements are split in two for both 1,080p and 1,440p gameplay, but be warned: they’re certainly more taxing on your hardware.

To run the game with the medium graphics preset at 1,080p with 60fps, you’ll need an entry-level GPU from the last two generations, such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT as a minimum, along with either an Intel Core i5 13600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, as well as 24GB of the best gaming RAM.

If you want to run the graphics settings a little higher at 1080p, you can switch up to a high graphics preset with a 30fps target frame rate. As before, a lower frame rate will make the game feel choppier, but that might be a sacrifice you’re willing to make for a better looking game.

Paradoxically, developer Warhorse recommends slightly worse specs for your CPU and GPU here, thanks partly to the lower FPS target. Either an Intel Core i5 12600K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU or better is recommended, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPU. The RAM requirements are harsher, however, with an upgrade to 32GB recommended.

If you’re keen to run the game at 1440p instead, you can get 60fps using the medium graphics preset with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT GPU or better, as well as an Intel Core i5 13600K, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X or better. Only 24GB of RAM is required, too.

Should you want to play at 1440p using the high graphics preset, your PC will need to be even better. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card or better is required, along with either an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, while the RAM requirements are boosted to 32GB.

The Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Ultra system requirements ratchet up the pressure even further, requiring a much more powerful PC or laptop in the process. For 1440p gameplay at 60fps, or 4K gameplay at 30fps, you’ll need one of the best graphics cards out there – only an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900XT or better will do.

For the CPU, an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is required, along with 32GB of RAM. There isn’t much room to maneuver here, as only the best gaming laptops and PCs will have the juice required to run this game with those kinds of specs.

One key area of your PC that you’ll need across the board, however, is ample storage. The Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 download size is at least 100GB, with Warframe confirming that an SSD of that size is required. You’ll want to grab one of the best gaming SSD options you can buy right now to give yourself plenty of space and to avoid any slow loading times. A good option is the WD Black SN850X, which offers great performance at a reasonable cost.

These system requirements are good news, on the whole, for gamers with older PCs or gaming laptops. The barrier of entry for running this game at the lowest possible graphics settings is still quite low, with the GTX 1080 featuring on the original Kingdom Come Deliverance system requirements list. For any higher settings, however, you’re going to need a much more modern PC for your epic adventures, with plenty of RAM and a mid to top-tier GPU and CPU installed.
