Hands-On With Indiana Jones and The Great Circle: More Dishonored Than Wolfenstein
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is MachineGames’ first first-person adventure game, and it’s not what you think it is.
The Seat of Eternity is one of the final mysteries you’ll uncover while exploring Gizah. Here’s how to find it and unlock its secrets.
How To Start The Seat Of Eternity
After going toe-to-toe with Voss and escaping the Nazi Compound, a man will approach you and inform you that one of Nawal’s spies is looking for you in the Gizeh Village. To find the spy, head to the northmost section of the Gizeh Village. If you’re coming from the fast travel sign, follow the road north until you see a yellow building on your right, then take the path on your right and you’ll find the spy standing against the building on the left, wearing blue robes
If there’s no spy there, you haven’t progressed far enough into the story. Continue the Idol of Ra questline until you’re informed of a spy in Gizeh Village.
The spy will direct to you investigate an abandoned camp site west of town, by the old ruins. He also mentions some wild dogs roaming the area. When he’s finished talking, you’ll begin the Seat of Eternity mystery.
Head west as instructed towards the waypoint on your map. The area you’re searching is a hilltop just south of the Nazi Compound on the other side of the train tracks. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a pack of wild dogs relaxing near the abandoned campsite.
There are two entrances into the old ruins. The first is a hole covered by three planks of wood. If you stand up the planks and jump you will break through them and fall into the ruins. Keep in mind this will result in Indy taking fall damage, so make sure your health isn’t too low. Alternatively, you can use the entrance that faces the abandoned campsite. The wild dogs will likely see you and become aggressive, so either rush into the ruins or fight them off with your whip.

How To Solve The Canopic Jar Puzzle
In order to open the sarcophagus and retrieve the relic inside, you’ll need to find and place four Canopic Jars around the room. Each of the far jars represents and character: Falcon, Human, Baboon, and Jackal.
The first jar is found on the ground in the room with the sarcophagus and pedestals. This is the Falcon Canopic Jar, and it belongs on the pedestal at the foot of the sarcophagus to the left. Don’t forget to pick up the Tomb Journal at the foot of the sarcophagus.
The next jar is in the pit just outside of the room with the sarcophagus. Drop down and look for the Human Canopic Jar on the ground next to a skeleton. Hold the left trigger and press the right trigger to throw the jar out of the pit towards the sarcophagus room. While you’re down here, pick up the two-handed staff and throw that out of the pit too.
Now you need to look straight up to find a grapple point you can attach your whip to. Use it to climb out of the pit and return to the sarcophagus room, picking up the Human Jar you threw on the way. This jar goes on the pedestal on the left side of the sarcophagus.
Leave the room and pick up the two-handed staff, then make a right and walk to the end of the corridor to find a false wall. Hit it with the staff to reveal a passageway. At the end you’ll find the Baboon Canopic Jar. Return the the sarcophagus room and place it on the pedestal on the right.
To find the final jar, swing back across the pit and make a left to find a gate. Aim above the gate and throw your whip when you see a button prompt, then press it again to yank the whip and open the gate. You’ll find the Jackal Caponic Jar sitting on the ground. To get it back to the sarcophagus, you’ll need to throw it to the other side of the pit, swing across, then pick it back up. This jar goes on the pedestal at the foot of the sarcophagus to the right.
Once all four jars are on the correct pedestal the sarcophagus will open revealing an artifact. Collect it to complete this mystery.
