However, in a chaotic 6v6 match, this can be difficult for beginners, and mastering her will take time. This guide will showcase her abilities and provide tips on how to use her effectively.
Black Widow Overview
Black Widow is a Duelist and the only one in Marvel Rivals that uses a sniper. This means she is definitely not a beginner-friendly character and requires skill to master in order to effectively contribute to the team fight.
Her kit is fairly straightforward to understand and use, but sniping and landing headshots will be the most important aspects you’ll need to learn and master while playing as Black Widow.
The table below explains each and every ability this Duelist has to offer.

She can sprint but has a limited sprint meter. During her sprint, she can perform a powerful jump, which consumes a significant portion of the sprint meter. |

Execute a spinning kick that launches enemies. If the kick lands, she can follow up by zipping to the enemy target with a grappling hook and performing a second kick. |
Electro-Plasma Explositon |
Black Widow ultimate ability lets her switch to first-person mode with her Red Room Rifle, firing an electro-plasma blast that damages enemies and leaves a plasma field on the ground, slowing anyone within its range. |
Team-up Abilities |

Supersensory Hunt Hawkeye |
Black Widow gains a unique ability that lets her catch sight of enemies she’s aiming at and deal damage to their afterimages. |
Tips And Tricks To Play Black Widow
If you’re not good at sniping, then playing Black Widow may not be enjoyable – it’s as simple as that. It requires time and skill to land headshots and eliminate enemies, and it’s not easy.
As a sniper, your priority is to reach a high ground and find a good sniping position. Thankfully, her Fleet Foot ability allows you to power jump, making it easier to reach those higher spots.
After your positioning, your primary goal is to land headshots, but when that’s not possible, aim to finish off low-health enemies.
Your sniper shot leaves a red tracer after firing, which gives the enemy team an idea of your location. So, always try to reposition to make it harder for enemies to track and approach you.
Snipers are often dived by the enemy team or flanked, and Black Widow is prepared to handle those close-range encounters. Her baton is quick and deals decent damage, while her Edge Dancer ability lets you perform a kick to launch enemies.
At this point, you have two options:
- If you’re confident in your skills, you can switch to your sniper and finish off the enemy.
- If you’re unsure, you can use the power jump to escape.
Her ultimate, however, isn’t that great. It launches a plasma blast that damages enemies upon impact and creates an area on the ground that slows any enemies within it.
The area is obvious and can easily be avoided, so always aim it toward an area where enemies are already located. This will slow their movement, making it easier for you to land headshots.
