Vital Energy, as its name suggests, is a crucial resource in Infinity Nikki, necessary for collecting various upgrades and progressing a player’s account. Similar to many other gacha games, Vital Energy functions as the game’s stamina system, essentially gating how quickly players can advance.
There are several ways players can replenish Vital Energy in Infinity Nikki, and some are more costly than others. Here’s an overview of how Vital Energy is used and the methods to restore it.

How to Spend Vital Energy in Infinity Nikki
Vital Energy can be spent to obtain various rewards in Infinity Nikki, including upgrade materials, Insight, and crafting resources. This stamina system should feel familiar to gacha players, as it functions similarly to Trailblaze Power from Honkai: Star Rail. Vital Energy is primarily used in Realm Challenges, which can be accessed via Warp Spires (teleport points) scattered across Miraland.
Access to Realm Challenges is unlocked relatively early in the main story of Infinity Nikki, after players speak with Tokar at the Stylist’s Guild. There are a total of five different Realm Challenges, though not all are available at the start. Players unlock additional Realm Challenges as they progress through the main story. For every 10 Vital Energy spent, players earn 100 Mira EXP, which is essential for advancing their Mira Level (account level)—similar to the Inter-Knot Level in Zenless Zone Zero.
Realm Challenges Overview
- Realm of Escalation: Allows players to exchange collectible materials, such as flowers, fur, bugs, and fish for Bling, Threads of Purity, or Shiny Bubbles.
- Realm of Nourishment: Provides an opportunity to trade collectible materials for their respective Insight, a resource required for unlocking nodes in the Heart of Infinity.
- Realm of Eureka: Features platforming challenges that reward Eurekas, equippable items that boost style points.
- Realm of The Dark: Offers boss trials, granting unique materials needed for crafting clothes and items.
- Realm of Breakthrough: Weekly elite boss challenges that provide special crafting materials, most notably Calm Thoughts, which are essential for Clothing Evolution. This functions similarly to Weekly Bosses in Genshin Impact or Echoes of War in Honkai: Star Rail.

How to Get Vital Energy in Infinity Nikki
Similar to the stamina systems in other gacha games, Vital Energy in Infinity Nikki regenerates passively over time, recovering 1 point every 5 minutes and capping at 350 points. Once it reaches the cap, Vital Energy will stop accumulating, as there is currently no overflow feature in place. To avoid wasting this resource, players should monitor their Vital Energy usage to prevent over-capping. From zero, it takes 29 hours and 10 minutes for Vital Energy to completely replenish to 350, giving players ample time each day to use it effectively.
For those looking to progress more quickly, there are alternative methods to replenish Vital Energy. One option is using Energy Crystals, which restore 80 points of Vital Energy each. These items can be acquired from various sources, including Mira Level rewards, events, the Mira Journey (Battlepass), and promotional codes, making them a valuable resource for players aiming to avoid downtime.
Another method involves spending Diamonds to refill Vital Energy. Each refill restores 80 points, but this approach is generally not recommended for free-to-play or low-spending players, as Diamonds are a precious and limited currency primarily used for Resonance, the gacha system in Infinity Nikki. The initial cost of a refill is 50 Diamonds, but the price increases with each subsequent use, and players are limited to a maximum of six refills with Diamonds per day.
