Since some of the locations you travel to in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are open areas, sometimes you’ll stumble across things before you’ve unlocked or discovered the place you need to go to make use of them.

During most of your time in The Vatican, you won’t have access to the museum area, with no idea of how to get in. Thankfully, once you get to the A Nun in Trouble Fieldwork sidequest, after meeting Gina for the first time, you’ll be able to get in and explore.

There’s a chance you found a note about the Mystery called A Date to Remember, which involves a chest in the museum. You’re best to wait until the A Nun in Trouble quest to complete it.

How To Get Into the Museum

A gap to get into the Vatican museum in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

To start the quest, follow Gina from the Cistine Chapel and head out into the main courtyard. She’ll leave you behind, so head to where the objective marker is.

At one end of the main courtyard is a restricted area surrounded by a fence and guards. You have two options to get in.

  • Use the Blackshirt disguise to be let in without alerting the enemies.
  • Sneak into the area.

You get the Blackshirt disguise from the area underneath where you first met Gina, by some washing areas for the Nazis. You use a zipline that leads from the Apostolic area. After going down the zipline, turn around and head though a gap in the fence, and drop down to the washing area. After knocking out the goons, the disguise is on the chair.

You’ll also get the Blackshirt Key alongside the disguise, which is really useful for unlocking locked doors around the Vatican.

To sneak in, there’s a gap in the fence to the left of the restricted area when you’re looking at the door to the Vatican’s library, where you go to get to Antonio’s office. There’s also a gap to shimmy through on the opposite side, by the wall to the outside of the courtyard, next to some wooden crates.

Follow the path through there and up some stairs in the Vatican museum courtyard. Gina will be there with an open window for you to climb through. Now, follow the path around until you get into the museum itself.

Art Room And Museum

Some blood next to a painting in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Once you reach the art room, you need to find clues about what happened to Giuliana. Those are:

  • Blood on the wall.
  • A piece of cloth on the floor in the corner below.
  • An ID card between the two paintings.
  • A note on a box by a lantern.

Gina will then give you a photo of yourself before she picks the lock on the next door. Then, head down the stairs and you’ll see footprints in white paint. Take a picture of the blood in the next room and there will be a gold ring in it for you to pick up.

You now need to fight or avoid the Nazis who arrive, then continue on through the rooms and back to the main Vatican courtyard.

The Borgia Tower in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

You’re now looking for Borgia Tower, which is the one with the big Mussolini poster in front of it. Head over there and climb up to the open window by heading around the back of the poster and using your whip to climb up the scaffolding.

Head right and Gina will open the door to the tower for you. Next, avoid or defeat the enemies and start heading up the tower via a ladder in the middle of the room.

You’ll encounter a locked door, so grapple with the whip to your right and swing over. Head up and you’ll be able to squeeze through a gap on your left, then follow round and you’ll drop into a room the other side of the locked door on the floor below.

Just remove the blockage for Gina and keep heading up, defeating more bad guys on your way.

Finding Giuliana

An interrogation room in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Once you reach the top of the tower, Gina will then pick another lock and you’ll need to fight a more powerful nazi. After you’ve knocked him out, take the ties off Giuliana’s feet, and a cutscene will play.

You’ll then complete the quest and be given Giuliana’s key, which opens a door a couple of floors lower in the Borgia Tower. That leads to the tricky Father and Son Mystery quest.

Giuliana’s Key only opens two doors in the tower, but it’ll stay in your inventory until you use it.
