Indiana Jones and the Great Circle throws players into exotic locations with freedom of exploration and the ability to go on missions at their own pace. Even though the Great Circle isn’t conventionally open-world, it’s still exciting to explore different locations on a map without any progress blockers hindering the experience. The game features a unique fast-traveling mechanic to aid adventure seekers by allowing them to quickly jump into different sections of the map with a click of a button. Let’s check out how fast travel works in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

As Excited As I Am For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle, Doesn’t 4 Hours of Cutscenes Seem Excessive?
Game director Axel Torvenius stated that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will have almost four hours of cutscenes, described by some as being about the length of two Indiana Jones movies. If we consider that the game is purported to be around 12 to 25 hours long, that’s anywhere from 1/3 to 1/6 of the entire game. I appreciate cutscenes in games, especially when they look as good as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s cutscenes, and I don’t even mind when cutscenes are the primary way that a game drives its narrative. I just really hope the story is as good as a classic Indiana Jones movie so it’s worth sitting through – I like Troy Baker’s performance as Indy, I just worry that the game will lean too heavily on cutscenes that stop the action and cut into players’ time engaging with the world.
How to Fast Travel in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
While exploring a location, players will come across sign boards with the names of locations marked on them. Moving your cursor over the name of a location will give you the option of fast traveling to the selected location. Once the players confirm, after a brief loading time depending on your system’s performance, they’ll fast-travel to the selected location within the map.
It’s an infinite-use mechanic that doesn’t require any special resources or currency. However, there are a few limitations to using fast travel in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
- Players can only fast-travel to a location they’ve visited before.
- Players cannot travel to every location on a map with fast travel, only specific ones with a sign board.
- Players cannot fast-travel while in combat status.
- Players cannot fast-travel to other maps, only locations within a map in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
