Within the first few days of Chapter 6, all major Fortnite accolades have been given an XP boost. Accolades are things you can do in-game. They’re repeatable, so you can do them in multiple games or more than once within the same match to continue earning XP. These boosts will significantly increase the amount of XP you earn for a single match, which helps to alleviate the burden many players were experiencing and complaining about early on.
Fortnite Accolades Get Buffed
According to HYPEX, the following in-game accolades have seen an XP buff in Fortnite:
- Eliminations: 250 up to 750
- Survive a Storm Circle: 250 up to 2000
- Open a Chest: 250 up to 750
- Open a Rare Chest: 250 up to 1000
- Open an Ammo Box: 250 up to 500
- Eliminate a Boss: 250 up to 1000
In some cases, the XP gained has more than doubled, making it a lot easier to get a substantial amount of experience each time you play. Challenges, quests, and other things remain the easiest way to get a lot of XP, but this makes it so the average gameplay can still help you level up quickly.
This was one of the biggest complaints of the new chapter. The first Fortnite patch, which went live this week, was designed partly to help fix the XP gain issue. In doing so, Epic Games made a few tweaks. One of them was changing the accolades totals. Now, it’s a lot easier to reap the benefits of a good game.
If you place in the top 10 with eight eliminations, you can earn well over 9,000 XP for just a single match. There are always a lot of challenges to do and things to uncover for XP in the early portion of a season, but now the standard gameplay compounds that, with or without a new medallion.
With the new system, complaints should cease. In fact, players should be able to level up their battle pass and get the rewards very quickly now.
