The quest itself is pretty short, but game-changing when it comes to the potential of side content in Black Ops 6 Zombies and beyond. Maya’s secret quest in Citadelle des Morts brings about a satisfying cutscene and a secret reward that will see players earn a Legendary-rarity weapon, pretty early on in the game.
How to Activate Maya’s Secret Quest in Citadelle des Morts
In order to activate Maya’s secret quest, players must first make sure that their selected Operator is Maya. This can only be done in the Zombies menu before starting a game, and it doesn’t matter what skin players use, so long as the Operator is Maya. Now, all players need to do is open up the Dining Hall area where Vulture Aid can be located, and wait around until Round 12.
To the left of Vulture Aid, there is a radio on a wooden table and a wooden door next to it. Every round, hit the interact button on the radio and the door, progressing through the rounds as normal until eventually, the radio will respond with a voice line from Franco, the very man that Maya has joined up with the former members of Requiem to kill.
Once players have this voice line activated, they can interact again with the radio to see Maya respond, which will then allow access to a secret area that only Maya can enter. However, it’s worth noting that this area has a few parasites and Doppelghasts, so be sure to bring a decent weapon, like a Pack-a-Punched zombie-killer or even the map’s Wonder Weapon.
How to Complete Maya’s Secret Quest in Citadelle des Morts
Once players are ready to face Franco, all they need to do is interact with the door next to the radio in the Dining Hall. Doing so will spawn the player who is playing as Maya into the Cellar, where they must run through the halls and kill parasites along their way down. In order to progress through the cellar, players must battle Laurent, a special version of the Doppelghast that has more health than normal and a different name. Killing Laurent will have their body relinquish a key that can be picked up.
All players need to do now is take the key and head into the North room where they first found Laurent, and the locked doors can now be accessed simply by interacting with them. Upon doing so, run down the stairs to begin a cutscene with just Maya and Franco.
Once the cutscene finishes, players will spawn back outside the door of the Dining Hall with momentary immunity to spawning zombies to keep them safe while Maya converses with Peck. The only reward from completing Maya’s easter egg in Citadelle des Mors is a Legendary-rarity GS45 pistol with randomized attachments.
