Blood Strike has emerged as the Players’ Choice Mobile Game of the Year award at the 2024 edition of the GamingonPhone Awards. The action-packed multiplayer battle royale from NetEase Games triumphed over nine other nominees to secure this honour at the ceremony held on December 6, 2024.
The GamingonPhone Awards is an annual award show hosted by GamingonPhone which serves as a testament to the collective passion and dedication exhibited by the entire industry to captivate and entertain audiences. A total of 30 categories, part of both the B2C and B2B sides, were awarded. For the first time this year, a Jury Panel was part of the selection process in the Awards Ceremony.
Blood Strike gained popularity thanks to its exceptional action gameplay
Alongside its initial announcement, Blood Strike straight away entered early access in September last year, followed by a final round of closed beta test in June 2023. In September 2023, the game got a soft launch in Brazil for Android, and it was released in the SEA region a month later before its global launch on March 24, 2024.
Within a month, the game hit 30 million downloads worldwide and in July 2024, it officially announced that it had 50 million downloads since launch. As completely voted by the mobile gaming community, Blood Strike is lauded for its exceptional gameplay and for providing a top-notch player experience, deservedly taking home Players’ Choice Mobile Game Of The Year.
The Players’ Choice Mobile Game Of The Year award at the GamingonPhone Awards 2024 was a closely contested award for sure. A total of 10 nominations, which included some solid picks such as Honor of Kings, Squad Busters, Zenless Zone Zero, AFK Journey, Heroes of History, and Fall Guys Mobile, Blood Strike managed to fire past all these names.
Blood Strike was also nominated for the Mobile Game Of The Year award, which was ultimately won by Kuro Games’ fast-paced action RPG Wuthering Waves.
