Whoever said having too much loot is a bad thing never saw a bottomless storage box where you can keep all the treasures you can’t otherwise carry around. You’ll be collecting a lot of loot in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl as well, so knowing where to find all the private chests where you can store ammo, weapons, armor, and other items is paramount.

You’ll find many Viper-5s in the Lesser Zone, so why don’t you learn how to get the best of this weapon in Stalker 2?
Private chests, which are special stashes found only in safe places, can hold as much as you can put in them, and you’ll likely need to make regular stops to offload what you want to keep but don’t want to sell.
Where To Find The Private Chest In Every Base In Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl
You’ll find every private chest in Stalker 2 in one of the eleven bases accessible during the main story campaign, save for the one beyond the point of no return in Pripiyat. Even late into the story, when a lot changes in the Zone, you will still have access to all the stashes, though you can lose access to some if you fail to complete specific quests.
Private Chest In Zalissya
The first private chest you’ll encounter is in Zalissya, and it’s not hard to find. You’re looking for the general store in the northeast part of town, where Hamster (the trader) and some townsfolk hang around.
Turn left facing Hamster and head into the bedroom to see your yellow personal stash next to the beds.
Private Chest In The Rookie Village
The Rookie Village, like Zalissya, is one of the first places you should go, as its trader, Sidorovich, has a large selection of ammo types for many of the weapons in the game.
You’ll find the personal stash in a bunker on the northwest side of town. A brick structure with an open doorway leading down will take you where you want to go, and the private chest is to the right of your bed.
Private Chest In The Slag Heap
The Slag Heap is your next stop on the main story quest once you complete Behind Seven Seals and gain access to the rest of the open world.
You’ll find the private chest in the weapon shop next to Huron on the eastern side of the base. Head in the main doors, hang a left at Boozer and take the door to the left of the guide. The stash is tucked in the righthand corner of the trader’s shop.
Private Chest At Rostok
If you decide to explore the area west of the Slag Heap, you’ll eventually come across Rostok, the largest market and urban center in the Zone. The private stash here is a bit trickier to find, as it’s in the barracks on the far western side of town.
You’ll find the chest in a room off to the west of the main market stalls with Eugene, Berch, and the tech named Screw. Head through the door at the western end of their building, and you’ll find the bed and stash along the wall.
Private Chest At The Cement Factory
The Cement Factory is in the far northeast of the Zone, but it’s worth the trek for access to that side of the map. Finding the private stash here takes some extra work, but it’s not too tough.
Look for a large, rundown building where you can hear the PA speaking. Head inside via the door on the eastern wall, then go up to the third floor to find the stash among the beds used by the soldiers there.
Private Chest At Icarus
Icarus is a Ward base in the east of the Zone, and you won’t have easy access to it unless you build a good reputation with their faction or come back deeper into the campaign when the place is abandoned.
Either way, you’ll find the personal stash in the main building in the center of the compound, which you can enter via the door on the north side. The stash itself is through the second door on the left.
Private Chest At The Shevchenko
The Shevchenko is one of two derelict cargo ship bases in the southeast portion of Zaton in the eastern Zone. You’ll find the Shevchenko southeast of the Icarus, the lesser of the two bases, but there is a private stash there.
To reach it, enter the ship, take the stairs at the back-left of the main room, and go through the door on the left side on the second floor.
Private Chest At The Sultansk
Northeast of the Shevchenko is the more prosperous of the two cargo ship bases, the Sultansk. The private chest here is also on the second floor. If you take the stairway at the back of the main room, then keep left. The sleeping area is across from Owl, the weapon trader.
Private Chest At The Wild Island Shelter
You can’t access the Wild Island region until you reach the mission Hot on the Trail several hours deep into the main story campaign, and you need to progress the mission itself until you meet Strider to access the vendors there.
The private stash at the Shelter is similarly locked, and you’ll find it on the lower level off to the right at the end of the main hallway.
Private Chest At STC Malachite
In the westernmost portion of the Zone is the STC Malachite facility, which you can get into either by progressing deep into the story campaign or by paying 2,000 coupons to the door guard for “access.”
You’ll find the private stash on the second floor off the main hall, above where Viktoria Dorozhnyuk sits. There’s a staircase to the right that takes you to the beds, and the chest is next to yours.
Private Chest At Yaniv Station
Yaniv Station is one of the most important locations to unlock in the northwest of the Zone, if only for easy access to some of the game’s best-stocked traders and endgame gear. The private stash there is pretty easy to find, as well.
From the main entrance, head left, and you’ll find the bedroom directly across the hall from Wreck, the weapon’s trader. The chest is at the end of your bed.
