When Do You Unlock Fast Travel In Fantasian Neo Dimension?

Coming from Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Mistwalker studio, Fantasian Neo Dimension has plenty in common with some Final Fantasy games, especially earlier entries. Much of this comes in the eclectic party you travel with, as well as the blending of advanced tech with a more fantastical setting.

Fantasian Neo Dimension Challenged Me More Than Any Final Fantasy Game Has In Years

Fantasian Neo Dimension looks set to be a challenge, especially for those of us entirely new to it.

One of these wonderful pieces of tech in Fantasian is the Warp Device, letting you fast-travel wherever, whenever, as long as you’ve been there before. Except the game is very keen on taking this ability away from you, too. Let’s get it back, permanently this time.

How To Unlock The Ability To Warp

At the very beginning of the game, Leo is in the Machine World doing who-knows-what. After being overwhelmed by the forces there, he manages to remember somewhere in the Human Realm and teleports to the town of En. The Warp Device does not fair so well, breaking in the process.

For the next few hours, you are left entirely without the Warp Device. You must complete your story missions through the Southern Forest, the Uzra, and Vence all before the Warp Device is finally replaced.

To that end, you unlock it at the very end of the story missions in Vence. Once you reach the end of the Midi Toy Box, you must complete a puzzle to unlock the final chest. This involves reading all the various journals and notes around the room, having a brief battle with the Cinderella Tri-Stars, and reading the final note by the boxes on the left side of the room until you finally happen upon the date November 5th. 1105.

You cannot enter this code until you have actually discovered it, so there’s not speeding through this section.

This is the code you need to enter to unlock the chest in question. Except opening this chest leads to two more chests appearing. Open these final two to get both the Crystal Ball, and the Warp Device. You are now free to fast travel around the world.

Unlocking The Ability To Warp For The Second Time

After the scenes with the Fortune Teller in Vence, Cheryl and Kina will be whisked away from the party, leaving Leo on his lonesome. While he briefly retains the ability to warp for now, you’ll lose it before long. Namely, once you reach the Coliseum. During your break-out, you’ll learn that the Warp Device is busted. Just great.

To fix this involves getting the Blue-Jeweled Necklace that Leo stole from her, which is located in the Maxi Toy Box all the way in the Vibran Royal Capital. Head there now, with Zinikr and Ez in tow. Once you eventually make your way to the Maxi Toy Box, you’ll have to open a great deal of chests to finally get the necklace, though not without some opposition.

Do not open the ominous chest in the backroom. Seriously.
There’s a boss in there
you will have no means of beating right now.

You have to fight a boss here, Eternal Darkness. They are a frankly terrifying beast, though nothing you shouldn’t be able to handle. Just make sure to use Ez to keep your party constantly healed and buffed and you’ll have them down in no time. At which point, you can take the Blue-Jeweled Necklace from the chest.

Leo repairs the Warp Device in short order, which not only lets him return to previous areas once again, but also to the Machine Realm he started the game in.

Unlocking Fast Travel Between Realms

The game wouldn’t be complete without taking the Warp Device away from you once more. Third time’s the charm and all that. This time, you lose the Warp Device after entering the Chaos Fields through the wormhole after defeating Vam. Leo is left by himself, though finds both Prickle and Clicker, and the newest party member, Valrika, in short order.

Valrika will give to you the most powerful Warp Device there is, one that is designed to transport you across all known realms in Fantasian. Except it still needs to be powered, and Cheryl’s necklace isn’t enough for this super-powerful version. No fears though, as Valrika guides you to a nearby area with the self-same jewels.

In the Chaos Lakes, you must summon the Apex Predator, the Chaos Serpent, as they drop the jewels in question. To do so, you must interact with each geyser around the area in the correct order. This order is randomised each time you enter the area, so you’ll have to rely on your own memory for this one.

After the Chaos Serpent is summoned and subsequently defeated, you will gain the jewels you need to power this new Warp Device. Head back to the lab, at which point the Warp Device will be permanently repaired, and Leo will be returned to a changed En.
