The Most Valuable Rebel Clash Cards In The Pokemon TCG

The Most Valuable Rebel Clash Cards In The Pokemon TCG

With Sword & Shield sets soaring in the Pokemon TCG, it’s a great time to look back at some of the most expensive Rebel Clash singles worth adding to your collection. While Rebel Clash hasn’t seen the recent growth that some of the most valuable Sword & Shield sets have, it’s been a consistently expensive booster box for a while now.

Among the top five most expensive Sword & Shield booster boxes, Rebel Clash features the weakest top ten in terms of total value but makes up for it by having a good variety of unusual choices featured. While everyone can appreciate popular Pokemon, it’s nice to see the love spread around among the top ten most valuable Rebel Clash cards.

The card values below are based on the raw card prices according to

Updated December 4, 2024, by Andrew Scariati: If you’re looking for the best Rebel Clash chase cards, we’ve just added some new additions that continue to rise. Whether you’re here for the Rainbow Secret Rares or prefer the full-art Trainers, Rebel Clash has some stunning chase cards for you.

13 Frosmoth (Secret Rare) – $6.92

A Bug We Rarely Get To See

Rebel Clash's Frosmoth Secret Rare art from the Pokemon TCG.

Frosmoth isn’t often among the most valuable cards, but it comes prepared with a gorgeous Secret Rare and striking pose.

This form of Secret Rares, often called Gold cards, can be very desirable – as in Rebel Clash and Chilling Reign – though they are often less valuable than more common art versions.

Bug Pokemon rarely get much love in any capacity, but this Frosmoth features such a distinct color palette, especially with the gold background and borders. It’s an unexpected inclusion for among the top cards in Rebel Clash.

12 Copperajah VMAX (Secret Rare) – $7.24

Too Much To Handle

The Rebel Clash Copperajah VMAX from the Pokemon TCG.

Copperajah’s debut in Sword and Shield was met with few cards to celebrate its triumphant introduction, with this Secret Rare serving as a reminder that some Pokemon can’t be contained by small borders. Luckily, Copperajah has the whole card to itself in this Secret Rare, but even all that space can barely contain this mammoth-sized Pokemon.

Copperajah’s price jumps between the seven and nine-dollar range, touching its high in early 2024, then again in July before it fell off toward the latter stages of the year.

11 Milotic V (Full Art) – $8.12

Beauty And Serene Grace

The Milotic V Full Art Rebel Clash from the Pokemon TCG.

Milotic V has one of the most vibrant backgrounds in Rebel Clash, with the emerald-green pattern offering the perfect contrast to Milotic’s pink and blue. While it’s not the most expensive card in Rebel Clash, Milotic easily stands out from the crowd thanks to its vibrant appearance and incredible blend of colors.

Milotic’s price is usually steady at around the $7.50 to $8.50 range, but it dipped to $6.50 in early 2024 before returning to its usual range. If you enjoy collecting Milotic cards, then this one is a must-have for your binder, especially considering its fairly affordable price.

10 Toxtricity VMAX (Secret Rare) – $8.54

Growing In Size And Value

The Rebel Clash Toxtricity VMAX from the Pokemon TCG.

Toxtricity takes a step above Milotic in price, though it’s hard to argue in favor of this card’s design, as Toxtricity doesn’t benefit from the rainbow color palette. Regardless of the eye appeal, Toxtricity is hanging onto its spot above Milotic despite seeing a noticeable drop throughout 2024.

Toxtricity began 2024 at roughly ten dollars but slid into the $8.25 range in April before it bounced back up to $8.50 for a few months. However, September 2024 marked another dip for Toxtricity, though this Pokemon’s price chart indicates that this Pokemon might have another price rally looming.

9 Inteleon VMAX (Secret Rare) – $9.78

A Perfect Pokemon For A Rainbow Rare

Rebel Clash's Inteleon VMAX art from the Pokemon TCG.

This Galarian starter evolution is one of the most stylish snipers in Pokemon, and the Rainbow Secret Rare has a perfect amount of blue to mimic Inteleon’s original coloring. It’s a solid card to kick off the theme of rainbows and is among Rebel Clash’s most expensive cards.

Unfortunately for Inteleon, it’s the cheapest of the three starters, so it loses the friendly rivalry among its fellow starters, but at just over $10, this card is still a great art to own.

8 Rillaboom VMAX (Secret Rare) – $10.40

Exploding Up The Starter Ranks

Rebel Clash's Rillaboom VMAX from the Pokemon TCG.

Rillaboom barely edges Inteleon in value, with slightly more action-packed art than its Water-type comrade. Rillaboom VMAX is a fairly stable card that is only fractionally more valuable than a year ago.

While you may prefer the regular coloring for a Pokemon like Rillaboom,
the rainbow coloring offers the full spectrum of possibilities, depending on how you tilt the card.

This is one of a few more rainbow Secret Rares to come, illustrating the unusual set of rules that Rebel Clash’s card values play by. Rillaboom isn’t one to play by the rules anyway, so enjoy the rare chance to appreciate these rainbow cards’ value.

7 Sonia (Secret Rare) – $11.71

Keeping The Rainbows Coming

Rebel Clash's Sonia Secret Rare from the Pokemon TCG.

Sonia’s Rainbow Secret Rare is yet another in the line of Secret Rares on the list of valuable Rebel Clash cards. These arts are beautifully simple, but their simplicity might also explain their relatively modest values.

Sometimes to stand out from the pack, you need to blend in.

While it’s nice to see a set with several cards all fairly close together in value, it seems clear that a unique artwork often yields higher value. Though that isn’t a hard-and-fast rule, it’s difficult not to see Rebel Clash’s collection of straightforward designs doesn’t command anywhere near the $100 mark some chase cards eclipse.

6 Dragapult VMAX (Secret Rare) – $13.54

Catapulting Up The Charts

Rebel Clash's Dragapult VMAX from the Pokemon TCG.

Dragapult VMAX isn’t necessarily the first card you associate with Rebel Clash, but this Pokemon has a habit of appearing among the most valuable cards. Dragapult just garners so much attention, that the value is sure to follow.

This Ghost and Dragon-type Pokemon doesn’t necessarily associate with a rainbow color palette, as it prefers to be more discreet. Strange combination aside, Dragapult’s art and the rainbow coloring work fairly well together, and its almost $15 price tag suggests others agree.

5 Ninetales V (Full Art) – $14.08

A Rare V To Break Up The Rainbow Party

Rebel Clash's Ninetales V from the Pokemon TCG.

The Ninetales V stands out as the most distinct card on this list, as all the other top-charting cards are either Trainer cards or Secret Rares. The beautiful, soft Ninetales artwork is juxtaposed with the fierce, intimidating look in the Pokemon’s eyes, offering layers to enjoy.

The background is a simple red and orange swirl palette, allowing Ninetales to command all of our attention. It’s nothing like the intricate VMAX alternate arts in Evolving Skies, but this Ninetales V is still a beautiful card.

4 Cinderace VMAX (Secret Rare) – $14.20

Kicking Up The Heat

Rebel Clash's Cinderace VMAX from the Pokemon TCG.

Cinderace claims the crown for the most valuable Sword & Shield starter in Rebel Clash, though it only clocks in just above $15, which isn’t too high considering the usual popularity of starters. However, there’s no denying that Cinderace’s white fur is particularly complementary to this design.

Cinderace kicks off the top four most valuable Rebel Clash cards as the penultimate Rainbow Secret Rare, as things finally start to circle back to simplicity for this set.

3 Sonia (Full Art) – $19.53

Sonia’s Original Art Shines

Rebel Clash's Sonia Full Art from the Pokemon TCG.

This Sonia art appears again on the list, but this time as a Full Art card with its original coloring instead of the former’s rainbow version. Seeing Sonia’s wonderful color palette combined with the gorgeous flowers in the background gives this card so much more eye appeal.

This is a perfect example of when a Rainbow Secret Rare falls short of the original art, as certain scenes look better when their details can shine through. Sonia’s Full Art is a stunning card worthy of the top-tier most valuable cards in Rebel Clash.

2 Boss’s Orders (Secret Rare) – $24.67

A Surprisingly Vibrant Giovanni

Rebel Clash's Boss's Orders Secret Rare from the Pokemon TCG.

When you think of Giovanni, you may call his signature darker color palette to mind, especially his signature black suit. However, the final Secret Rare among Rebel Clash’s most valuable cards is a stark case of two worlds colliding.

While Giovanni is traditionally in darker clothes, this card gives a nod to Team Rainbow Rocket from Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. While there’s no telling what the market may yield, villains aren’t often liked, but Giovanni sets trends and does things his way, seizing control of the top three.

1 Boss’s Orders (Full Art) – $40.44

Giovanni’s Return To Form

Rebel Clash's Boss's Orders Full Art from the Pokemon TCG.

The original Boss’s Orders Full Art sees Giovanni donning his usual black-and-gray outfit, striking fear into our hearts with his intimidating anime villain pose. The silliness of the pose aside, Giovanni’s depiction here is nothing short of fierce, as this card’s background art is as stern and cold as the boss himself.

The shadows behind Giovanni do a great job subliminally informing us of Giovanni’s usual nefarious plans lurking beneath his clean-cut visage. Giovanni’s Full Art perfectly personifies the Team Rocket Boss’s shady intentions and obsession with power.
