Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Finally Announced
As reported by Gematsu, the latest issue of Weekly Jump has officially confirmed Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, which has been rumoured to be in the works for quite some time. The confirmation didn’t announce a release date or any platforms for the sequel, but it did reveal that it’l be playable at Jump Festa 2025, which will be happening in late December.
According to Weekly Jump, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will cover the events of the Entertainment District all the way up to the Hashira Training Arc, which is close to where the anime is right now. It’s not clear if CyberConnect2 will be returning to develop the sequel, but that would make sense since they were in charge of the first game.
As of the time of writing, images from the announcement of Hinokami Chronicles 2 haven’t been shared online, although user Ryokutya2089 claims that there’s a battle shown between Kanroji and Tokito. The page also says “Pillars, assemble”, which suggests that all of the Hashira might be playable this time around.
The reveal also seemingly hints at combination techniques between specific characters, a staple of CyberConnect2’s anime adaptations.
