With Overwatch 2 Season 14 right around the corner, Blizzard has officially revealed the new Mythic weapon skin for the season. Lead Rose is a stunning and stylish weapon skin for Ashe that transforms the Viper into a rose-themed rifle, complete with glowing pink decals and dark, thorny filigree.
Overwatch 2 Season 14 Mythic Weapon Skin – Ashe
While the exact features for this new cosmetic are not yet known, previous Mythic weapon skins in Overwatch 2 may provide a hint. The complete weapons can be purchased for 80 Mythic Prisms across four tiers, each of which unlocks special UI elements, interactivity, weapon flourishes, and kill animations. Like its predecessors, Blizzard confirmed Lead Rose evolves with eliminations and “leaves a petal-burst flourish in its wake,” but the skin’s other features – such as if the Coach Gun, Dynamite, or B.O.B. will feature unique appearances – remain to be seen.
Hilariously, this isn’t the first look players had at Lead Rose. Back in Overwatch 2 Season 12, the Dorothy Ashe skin was erroneously depicted with a strange pink weapon – which we now know is Lead Rose – on the shop banner, though it was different in other screenshots and when equipped. Months later, fan theories that this might have been a leak about an upcoming Mythic weapon skin have now officially been proven true.
Historically, Mythic weapon skins have been released during their respective mid-season patches. Given Overwatch 2 Season 14 starts on December 10, fans can probably expect the halfway point content update to arrive around January 7 or 14, 2025. That will give players who purchase the Premium Battle Pass for Season 14 about a month to earn the 80 Mythic Prisms needed to fully unlock Ashe’s new weapon skin. However, fans who want to use the currency on the Mythic Thor Reinhardt skin or the Mythic Aspects Overwatch 2 added in Season 13 will likely be able to purchase Lead Rose directly for $40.
