Marvel Rivals has revealed that players will be able to redeem battle pass rewards even after the end of the season. The announcement was made in a new blog post on the official Marvel Rivals website, in which the devs detailed different aspects of the anticipated game’s monetization.
After much waiting, Marvel Rivals‘ launch is finally near. From December 6, players will be able to check out the NetEase title which, unlike other games such as Marvel Snap and Marvel Future Fight, pits heroes and villains in 6v6 matches in a third-person shooter. At launch, players will have 33 heroes to choose from, including favorites such as Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and Scarlet Witch. Now, to increase the hype for the game’s debut, an important monetization feature has been revealed.

Players who buy a Marvel Rivals battle pass will be able to continue claiming rewards even after a season comes to an end. On the official website, the developers revealed that those who buy the Luxury Battle Pass won’t have to worry about losing rewards, as they will be available in subsequent seasons. The pass will have a variety of cosmetics, including five Marvel Rivals skins for players to unlock.
Marvel Rivals Battle Passes Won’t Expire With Season Finale
Another important piece of information is the price of the Marvel Rivals battle pass, which in Season 0 will cost 490 Lattices or $5. This will be a special price due to the season’s shorter duration, while a full pass is expected to cost $10. Players who stay on the free pass will not be without benefits, unlocking an epic tier skin and other items that have not yet been revealed. To level up, players will have to claim Chrono Tokens, the XP of the battle pass, obtained through events and tasks.
The blog post emphasizes once again that Marvel Rivals will be completely free to play, and that the only form of monetization will be cosmetic, with no pay-to-win elements or extra stats. The text reveals that the game will have two currencies; Lattice, bought with real money, and Units, obtained for free in events, achievements, or through the battle pass. Like other shooter games, cosmetics will be sold individually, or in bundles of three qualities. The bundles will include an outfit, MVP animation, emote, spray, and nameplate. Devs also said they will give away free cosmetics and skins, one of the first being a new Marvel Rivals outfit for Iron Man.
