Are you wondering if Delta Force is ever coming to Game Pass? You’re not alone. The game is out now for PC on early access/beta, but it’s slated for a console release later on. It will be, once that happens, widely accessible for a lot of gamers. Is it going to be on Game Pass for either Xbox or PC? Here’s what we know so far.
Is Game Pass Adding Delta Force?
Xbox and PC Game Pass will not have Delta Force whenever the game does launch on console. It’s on PC now, but it’s not on Game Pass. This is because it’s already a free game. The benefit of Game Pass is getting new games and other titles “for free” (despite the subscription price), and since the game is already without cost, adding it to Game Pass would be nonsensical.
It’s possible that there could eventually be console-exclusive DLC packs that are available on Game Pass or even PlayStation Plus, but there’s no guarantee. As of now, the game is entirely free on every platform, including Steam, so there’s no reason to look for alternative, cost-saving options.
In many cases, the $17-a-month tag for Game Pass or PlayStation Plus would save money on new games. Sometimes, it can save up to $70 on brand-new AAA titles. However, this game doesn’t have a price tag at all, so it’s the best option for everyone.
So for PC Game Pass Subscribers, you can skip that and head over to Steam. Xbox players will have to wait for the console release date. Unfortunately, there is no hard release date for other platforms yet. It is expected to arrive in the next few months, though. It will be available on the Microsoft Xbox Store at that time. In the meantime, you can check out whether or not PCs will allow controllers for Delta Force.
