How to Tilt Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket

How to Tilt Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Just as one might expect from a mobile title based on the Pokemon trading card game, opening packs and collecting cards is one of the most exciting things to do in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Although the odds are locked in from the moment players choose to open a pack, that hasn’t stopped some people from coming up with ways to try and boost their luck, whether that be opening backward-facing packs or checking to see if the edges of the pack are bent.

After tearing a pack open, there are a few ways that players can instantly find out if there’s anything good inside. If the pack contains a card of one-star rarity or higher, players will sometimes see sparkles come out of the top of the pack when they first open it and may also see the borders of the card peeping out from the bottom of the stack. If neither of these things happens, though, players can take matters into their own hands by learning how to tilt cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

To tilt their cards after opening a pack, players will simply need to place one finger on one side of the card stack and then use another to pull the stack to the opposite side. If done correctly, they’ll be able to peek at the edges of all five cards, allowing them to see if any of them are shiny. It’s worth noting that players will not be able to peek at the edges of their cards if they open a backward-facing back, as all they’ll be able to see is the back of the cards, making it impossible to tell which (if any) are rare until they flip them around.

Sadly, there is no way to improve one’s pack odds in Pokemon TCG Pocket regardless of what some websites and YouTubers may claim. It’s been proven beyond all doubt that the pack wheel in Pokemon TCG Pocket is just for show and that the pack that players choose makes no difference whatsoever, regardless of whether the corners are bent or the pack is flipped around on the pack wheel screen. The player’s cards are locked in from the moment they press the Open Pack button, so anything that they do after that is of no real consequence.
