How to Fish (& How to Get Rippling Serenity Outfit)

Collecting materials is an essential part of Infinity Nikki, as they are required for crafting clothes and items. Players can gather a variety of materials in the wild, including plants, fruits, animal fur, bugs, and fish.

Similar to animal grooming and bug-catching, fishing requires a special outfit to unlock the ability. Here’s how to obtain the Rippling Serenity fishing outfit and start fishing in Infinity Nikki.

How to Unlock Fishing in Infinity Nikki (Rippling Serenity Outfit)

Fishing is unlocked during the main story quest, Unexplained Coma Incidents, in Chapter 1: Wishes Without Wings. Players are tasked with meeting the merchant Timis, who can be found at the Daisy Inn in Florawish. Timis assigns players the mission of unlocking the Rippling Serenity outfit to catch a Brushie fish for her.

How to Unlock and Craft the Rippling Serenity Outfit

After speaking with Timis, players gain access to the Rippling Serenity Sketch (blueprint) in their Heart of Infinity. Unlocking it requires three Whimstars and 1,000 Bling. Players can use Momo’s View to help them locate nearby Whimstars.

Once the blueprint is unlocked, players must gather the required materials listed on the Sketches page. To simplify this process, the Map’s tracking feature, located in the lower-left corner, can be used to guide players to the general areas where these materials can be found.

Rippling Serenity Crafting Materials:

How to Fish in Infinity Nikki

After crafting the Rippling Serenity outfit, players can assign it to the Ability Wheel for convenient access whenever they want to fish. Using the map’s tracking feature, players can locate their desired school of fish and head to the area to begin fishing. Once in position, players can cast their fishing line using the following controls: right-click on PC, Square on PlayStation, or X on Xbox.

When a fish bites, a “Got a Bite!” message and a fishing reel icon will appear. At this point, players must press the “move backward” button for their respective game platform to start reeling in the fish.

While reeling, a yellow circle meter will appear above the fish, representing its stamina. To deplete the fish’s stamina, players must move the rod in the opposite direction of the fish’s movement using the left or right button (or joystick). When the stamina is fully drained, players must quickly spam the reel-in button to move the progress bar at the top of the screen toward the left to catch the fish.

As the reeling process continues, the fish will gradually regain stamina, returning to a tug-of-war state. Rarer fish are more challenging to catch, often requiring multiple rounds of stamina depletion before they can be reeled in successfully in this cozy open-world game.
