In the first season of Fallout, which aired in early 2024, fans were treated to a faithful adaptation of the popular video game franchise. Not only did they get to see iconic items like the Power Armor, and a multitude of groups including the Brotherhood of Steel and Vault-Tec, but they also got to experience beautiful settings and a hint at a visit to New Vegas in the next season.

Players can also choose to respond aggressively at the beginning of a conversation, and then choose a more gentle option later, allowing for more comedic moments to arise while in conversation.
Due to the small scale of early Bethesda titles in The Elder Scrolls series, there have been some strange voice acting over the years, as well. Some voice acting in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout can sound incredibly unnatural, making the conversations even more hilarious and a treat to watch. In particular, in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, players can watch dialogue between two NPCs, where they discuss happenings in the area:

Not only does the conversation serve basically no purpose to the plot, it abruptly ends with a quick goodbye, which players can also do when speaking with NPCs in Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. These hilarious conversations are why these games are so beloved, and incorporating them into the second season of Fallout could make for some hysterical moments.

Incorporating this silly Bethesda tradition into the second season of Fallout is actually something that could easily be achieved by Amazon. Many fans have already created their own versions of the dialogue options based on scenes from the first season, and edited them to look like Fallout 4, or one of the earlier titles. Needless to say, many fans are already hoping to see this small inclusion going into further seasons.
There are actually a few methods Amazon could use here to enhance the dialogue to fit Bethesda’s classic vibe. They could either have actual text on the screen showing the different dialogue options that the main character can choose from to respond, and then have them pause as they decide what to say. This could be hilariously meta, and would be a great joke to include in the series occasionally. Or, the show can choose to zoom in on the side character that one of the main characters is talking to, much like when players talk to an NPC in Fallout or The Elder Scrolls. The awkward camera angles could make for some cheeky moments that are sure to make audiences laugh.
The Fallout series has already done a fantastic job at adapting the popular video game series onto the silver screen. Adding this small detail will only enhance the show further, and will certainly be a treat that dedicated Bethesda fans will truly enjoy. Even just a few references here and there to classic Bethesda dialogue would be worth a shot as the second season comes around.
