Delta Force controller support explained
Delta Force doesn’t currently have native controller support. Team Jade has confirmed that it’s on the way, though it’s unconfirmed when exactly it will materialize. Meanwhile, you can use a workaround if you’re playing via Steam.
In the Ask Shadow Anything Q&A from November 29, 2024, we can see one of the devs testing the console version of the game, which is expected to arrive early next year. From the short clip shown, full controller support is, naturally, implemented. Though it would be amazing to see it come to PC beforehand, the odds are it won’t arrive until the console version of the game becomes available. That being said, the devs have promised there’ll be “more news soon.”
Here’s what you need to activate Delta Force controller support on Steam:
- Right click Delta Force in your Steam library sidebar and select ‘Properties…’
- Click the ‘Controller’ tab.
- Select ‘Enable Steam Input’ in the ‘Override for Delta Force’ drop-down box.
- With Steam Input enabled and your controller connected, click the ‘Controller Configurator’ hyperlinked above ‘Override for Delta Force.’
- Map your controller as you please.
