Clash Royale has got another season update which is titled ‘Cozy Clashmas’, which makes the Season 66 debut this December 2024. Of course, there are a lot of updates to discuss including the Card Evolution that is coming, alongside other details that are a highlight in the festive season of the game, which I will give an overview of in this article.
Clash Royale Season 66 December 2024 Update Overview
New Card Evolution: Giant Snowball
The Giant Snowball Evolution transforms the Giant Snowball into a crowd-control spell with a unique ability called Snow Bowling. Unlike its non-evo form, the Evolved Giant Snowball traps enemy troops inside it as it rolls forward, dragging them along for 4 tiles before shattering. This ability makes it highly effective against both ground and air troops.
The Evolved Giant Snowball maintains the base stats of its normal form. Its vertical roll makes it more predictable but also powerful for controlling troop positioning and retargeting defenses. It has a 5-tile-wide area of effect. To activate this evolution, you need to complete two cycles, making every third deployment an evolved one.
New Tower Skins
Coming to cosmetics, we have one new Tower Skin that has been officially confirmed for the Pass Royale with this update. The season-themed Cozy Castle Skin is unlocked once you have reached Tier 56 of the Gold Tier in the Pass Royale.
Emotes and Banners
Five new emotes will be coming, including via promotional, purchase, and Path of Legends. These new emotes will be based on the Clashmas theme, which looks pretty cool. Speaking of Banners, we will have 1 Banner for Diamond Pass Royale owners, 4 in the Banner Box, and 1 from the Season Shop.
Season Shop, Card Boosts, and Offers
The Season Shop has been updated with rewards available for exchange with season tokens. In addition to the cards available, banners and emotes stand out as valuable investments. Just like last time, we will have eight cards available in the shop.
Among them are Arrows, Goblin Cage, Flying Machine, Bomber, Guards, and Lightening, each priced at 500 tokens for a set of 100 or 25 cards depending on the rarity. Additionally, the Legendary Lava Hound and Inferno Dragon cards are available, each costing 1500 tokens for a set of 1 card.
If you want to push some Card Evolutions, you can find Goblin Drill Shards in the Season Shop for 5000 tokens. Wild Shards for 6000 tokens and Legendary Book is also featured in the Season Shop for 10000 tokens. We have four cards picked for a boost this time, featuring Giant Snowball, Lava Hound, Ice Spirit, and Fireball.
