In case you missed it, Bleach Rebirth of Souls, the first true Bleach console game in well over a decade, received its official launch date of March 21, 2025. When it does launch, it’ll join the likes of Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact, as well as the recently leaked Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, making 2025 another can’t-miss year for fans of anime.
That said, perhaps the most interesting element of Rebirth of Souls is the addition of a “Secret Story Mode,” in addition to the main campaign. That bit of information was stealthily added to the game’s product description, and hints at some deeper insight into the characters that comprise Tite Kubo’s iconic manga.
And as discovered on Reddit, it’s an original story “that may have unfolded behind the scenes of the main story.” Considering that the game has been confirmed to only cover up to the Arrancar Arc, another story element is certainly a welcome addition. Though, given how much exposition Bleach dedicates to its cast, it’ll be interesting to see how things are handled.
Still, this wouldn’t be the first time Bandai Namco has experimented with an alternate storymode.
