Black Ops 6 Reveals New Multiplayer Patch Notes for Latest Update

Key Takeaways

  • A small update for Black Ops 6 is out now, addressing multiplayer problems.
  • Fixes include addressing SR loss forgiveness bug, Best Play performance, and AAR screen issues.
  • Season 1 Reloaded has brought a ton of new content to the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has received another small update following the launch of its huge Season 1 refresh. This small patch only contains a handful of fixes that have to do with issues in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s popular multiplayer mode; Zombies and Warzone have been left untouched.

Midway through its first post-launch season, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 just recently put out its first mid-season refresh. Season 1 Reloaded brought a lot to the table for fans, including two new 6v6 maps, a holiday-themed Nuketown, an all-new Zombies map, several new weapons, and lots more. Naturally, the mid-season refresh also saw the return of CODMAS, Call of Duty‘s annual holiday event that brings a host of festive maps, modes, challenges, and rewards for players to enjoy across Zombies, multiplayer, and Warzone.

Just a day after Season 1 Reloaded went live, Treyarch released another update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, cleaning up a handful of issues having to do with multiplayer. The main bug addressed skill rating (SR) forgiveness not kicking in for players who’ve had teammates leave matches. This led to many ranked Call of Duty players having their SR drop unfairly due to teammates either leaving or getting disconnected from matches, but the issue should now be resolved. However, it’s unknown whether affected players will retroactively regain their unfairly lost SR after the update.

This small post-Season 1 Reloaded patch only includes two other bug fixes, both dealing with multiplayer UI issues. One of them resolves an issue with Black Ops 6‘s Best Play feature that showcases the most impressive moment from the match at the end of every game. Best Play should now run more smoothly and display the proper UI elements thanks to this new Black Ops 6 update. The final fix to come with the new patch deals with the game’s After Action Report (AAR) screen, which was previously missing key player data and UI.

Despite this being such a small update, all three of the multiplayer bugs it addressed are incredibly important, especially the SR forgiveness bug. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 1 refresh live for all players, it’s not known when the CODMAS portion of it will end, though it’s likely to expire at some point before the end of Season 1. As for Season 2, it’s currently expected to begin in late January, so it’ll be a while before Call of Duty fans can expect to learn more.
