How do you complete the Citadelle des Morts quest in Black Ops 6? With a new Zombies map comes a new questline, and we can’t wait to experience everything the Citadelle des Morts main quest has to offer when it arrives as part of Season 1 Reloaded.
The Liberty Falls main quest and the Terminus main quest are both large, complicated questlines that require you to jump through a lot of hoops to get the powerful BO6 Wonder Weapons. While we wait for the release of the next batch of Black Ops 6 Zombies easter eggs, here’s what we know about the Citadelle des Morts main quest so far.
Black Ops 6 Citadelle des Morts main quest rewards
If you manage to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before the map is officially added to Black Ops 6 Directed Mode, there are three great rewards to collect and show off. Two of these, the skin and the XP reward, are still available after Directed Mode is added. As with the other easter eggs before it, we assume the Calling Card is also available, just with an altered look for being late to the party.
The rewards available for completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest are:
- 5,000 XP
- ‘Jackknife’ Operator Skin for Weaver
- Calling Card
Black Ops 6 Citadelles des Morts main quest
We don’t know how to complete the main quest given the Citadelle des Morts release doesn’t arrive until December 5 at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT. When we do, we’ll update this guide as soon as we’ve discovered and completed it, along with any other Zombies easter eggs that will undoubtedly be hidden across the map.
In the meantime, we do have some clues around what the quest may entail:
- The Bastard Sword – If the other BO6 Zombies main quests are anything to go by, we already know that the first step will involve getting your hands on the Bastard Sword map-exclusive Wonder Weapon, either by getting it from the Mystery Box or by crafting one.
- The Lion Cannon – Surely this epic cannon has something to do with the quest? Or, at least, an incredible use for killing zombies. Perhaps it operates in a way similar to the Liberty Falls Aetherella statue? Why not climb in and find out?
- Manhole Covers – Called “Points of Power”, these strange metallic covers can be found across the map, which in itself instantly hints at their involvement in the quest. While they don’t lead to the sewers, they seem to have an “otherworldly” use, perhaps related to the Dark Aether.
- Dungeon – According to the Season 1 Reloaded blog, the Dungeon features rudimentary generators, which makes us think there could be some interactivity in here.
- Well – In the Upper Village, there is a small well. While the official blog might say it’s “pointless wishing for good luck”, we can wish for something, right?
- Bell Tower – Some parts of these Zombies easter eggs are complex puzzles, and what horror game puzzle can resist a nearby clock face? That’s our thinking, anyway.
- Stone Fountain – Finally, the large, looming stone statue that is the focal point of the town square must play some part in the quest, surely.
Of course, these might not have anything to do with the quest, and you should also keep your eyes peeled for any collectibles, or anything that looks remotely out of place. These would be the first places we’d try, though.
When the new Black Ops 6 Citadelle des Morts main quest is available and complete, we’ll let you know every step to guide you through it too. Until then, stock up the new Black Ops 6 Perk-A-Colas and BO6 Gobblegums added to the zombie game as part of Season 1 Reloaded.
