But while that is all very exciting, there’s a pair of changes that are music to camo grinders’ ears, and their lives are about to get a whole lot easier.
Black Ops 6 Is Getting Increased Headshot Damage And Changes To Launcher Requirements
The first major change for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 camo grinders, shared in the Season 1 Reloaded Patch Notes, is that the game’s fully automatic weapons will receive “headshot damage improvements”. That means most of your Assault Rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and even some Secondary Weaponsshould do more damage and, therefore, help you hit those 100 headshots quicker.

But while that’s all well and good, fully automatic weapons are typically the easiest to complete the camo grind on. It’s the Launchers that tend to be the problem.
Now that the game has extra weapons, technically, the Launchers aren’t needed to get the Dark Matter Camo, but for those who are going for 100 percent completion, they’ll need to be done. Thankfully, Activision has confirmed they’re about to get easier, too.
These launchers both require players to “Get 3 Destructions (Scorestreak Or Vehicle) In A Single Match 10 Times” to unlock either the Gold or Diamond Camos. Or at least they did. This has now been changed to include enemy Equipment and Field Upgrades, alongside the Scorestreak and Vehicles, making the grind a little less taxing.

Alongside these changes, Activision shared that “CDL, Ranked Play, and Incentive Camos can now be equipped on any Weapon, regardless of whether all 9 Military Camos have been unlocked for that Weapon in one mode.” This is something the community has been asking for since the game’s record-breaking launch.
Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
