World of Warcraft adds a highly-desired transmog ensemble to the in-game store that has been missing from the game for nearly a year.
Now, World of Warcraft has confirmed exactly when fans will be able to plunder the Arathi Highlands once again. In a recent post on Twitter, Blizzard shared a diagram breaking down key features coming in World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 and Plunderstorm. Most importantly, it confirmed January 14, 2025, as the date for the battle royale game mode’s triumphant return to World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft Plunderstorm 2025 Start Date
At present, World of Warcraft has not confirmed when the upcoming Plunderstorm event is ending. That said, the in-game calendar on the World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 Public Test Realm currently lists the event’s end date as February 18. Considering it accurately reflected the event’s start date, World of Warcraft fans can probably expect the end date to match this calendar as well.
Blizzard has introduced a handful of changes for Plunderstorm’s second run in World of Warcraft. Rather than raising their Renown with Keg Leg’s Crew, fans will collect Plunder for use in the Plunderstorm, which allows them to pick and choose new and returning rewards in any order they wish. The game mode also gets a practice lobby to help players adjust to the mechanics, an improved starting drop system, and even new and updated abilities to collect during a match.
Before then, fans will have the chance to experience World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 on December 17. This content update introduces the Siren Isle, a new zone featuring world activities, an upgradable ring, and a story chapter that will bridge the gap between The War Within and Patch 11.1. Additionally, World of Warcraft is providing catch-up mechanics for alts, including new gear and Renown increases. Were that not enough, World of Warcraft is buffing several racial abilities, giving Outlaw Rogues a new set of Pistol Shot glyphs, and adding updates to the Winter Veil holiday event. Needless to say, World of Warcraft is making sure players have plenty to do this holiday season.
