A MOBA-style battle royale is probably something you might not have on your bingo card this year, but Supervive wonderfully combines the two formulas to make a thrilling experience. For a relatively small-sized map, you can have up to 20 teams in a Duos game, and that’s not even including the dozens of AI-controlled mobs scattered across the area.
Of course, as a MOBA game, Supervive has a wide collection of hunters, each having six distinct abilities, including their weapon and a unique passive ability. However, you must put in the time and effort to master even a single one, and with 16 hunters in the game, that can be a bit challenging. So, with that said, which one should you main as a beginner?
8 Ghost
Class: Fighter
There’s a good reason Ghost is the tutorial hunter — he’s the vanilla AR hero with a straightforward yet reliable toolkit. His abilities focus on dealing damage and dazing enemies, making him easy to pick up once you understand their patterns. Despite this simplicity, his abilities, including his ultimate, are unique enough to make him highly capable overall.
Generally, you can make Ghost work by simply shooting the assault rifle and learning how his grenade works. His dash/slide ability provides a decent escape opportunity, which you can learn within a few tries. Unfortunately, he feels a bit too basic and restrictive against other technical hunters, hence the poor win rate at higher ranks.
7 Zeph
Class: Protector
Support characters play a crucial role in any team, and Zeph is a solid choice for healer mains in Supervive. He’s great for crowd control thanks to his Vortex Charm and Second Wind, specifically designed to break synchronous movement.

Celeste is a controlling mage in Supervive with excellent team fighting potential. Here’s the best gear, skill priority, and general gameplay tips.
As far as his actual healing goes, it feels a bit more expansive than Elluna, the other medic hunter, so you’re barely sacrificing any core mechanics. Like any Support, it’s best to keep Zeph at the rear while the attacker focuses on the enemy. He can regularly heal himself and his allies while occasionally doing burst damage, thanks to the Gale Force effect he applies.
6 Kingpin
Class: Initiator
As monstrous as he looks, Kingpin is a menace at mid-range engagements because of his hook-like grab, an overpowering mechanic you can learn in minutes. It has a deceptively far reach and can reel in enemies, putting them face-to-face with Kingpin’s shotgun.
His alliance with Shrike is particularly dominating, where he can stun and immobilize opponents while Shrike gets enough time to pull off a two-shot kill. Kingpin’s adaptability in team composition makes him so remarkable — he works well with almost any hunter while having enough skills to hold his own in standalone circumstances.
5 Joule
Class: Fighter
Joule is one of those hunters where you only really need to learn one strategy and use it most of the time. In her case, it’s applying the Static Charged status to enemies and dashing through them with Surge to deal exceptional damage.
You can inflict this status using most of your abilities, but the most trustworthy way to do it is spamming Joule’s left mouse button (or LMB) attack. It is worth noting that you’ll be heavily relying on Surge as your main damage source, so use it sparingly and don’t engage in fights where you’re outnumbered.
Aside from Surge and Voltage Spear, every ability applies one stack of Static to enemies, and applying four stacks makes them Static Charged.
4 Oath
Class: Frontliner
Being the only hunter in the game to have a shield, Oath’s the textbook definition of a Frontliner. He can summon a Brightshield anytime, negating all long-range firepower and even allowing a Shield Bash for additional damage. On top of that, this hunter also has a healing ability that regenerates HP for anyone, including the Brightshield, within its field.
His Ultimate ability, Abyssalwalker, creates cascading earthquakes, offering various uses. Not only does this stun-locking ability set up key openings for hunters like Kingpin and Shrike, but it also usually lets Oath knock people over the abyss with his hammer. Overall, his depth and toolkit make him an ideal all-purpose hunter.
You can use Oath’s Regen Field ability to revive teammates who are knocked down.
3 Shrike
Class: Fighter
For the sharpshooters out there, Supervive has heard you. Shrike, the stronger of the two snipers, is a fan favorite and one of the best early picks in the game. Her most effective attribute, by far, is to afflict the Marked effect, considerably raising her next shot’s damage output — enough to eliminate most hunters with just two hits.

Alongside her incredible range, another great thing is how her kit works so synergistically. Her Dive-Bomb and Disengage abilities stun and slow enemies, respectively, making it easier to hit your targets. Shrike’s a huge threat in a team scenario, where her teammates can distract enemies while she lands a direct shot.
Shrike’s laser is visible to other hunters, letting them identify her line of sight.
2 Hudson
Class: Controller
Though a bit more setup-focused than Ghost, Hudson’s simplicity is arguably the same, though the character is significantly more versatile. Looking at stats alone, his success rate is considerably better than any other hunter, and it’s clear why. This brute’s sheer damage is almost unfair, and the cooldown on his multi-charge abilities is far too generous.
Hudson’s Spin Barrels ability gives him a much-needed option — sacrificing movement for damage. This lets him compete against damage- and movement-oriented hunters, where you can alter your strategy to a specific firefight. Beyond that, his Barbed Wire and Hover Jets ensure the opponent is neither too close nor too far.
Hudson takes more damage when hit in the back!
1 Felix
Class: Frontliner
When you think about tanks in MOBA, you probably think of slow and bulky characters. Felix is nothing like the stereotype but is still a powerhouse and extremely easy to use. As a melee-type character, your main focus is to sneak up on enemies or at least attack them in close quarters.
Thankfully, Felix’s abilities give him the flexible mobility he needs. From his dash-enabling Pyro Pounce to the hook-like Heat Shield, he essentially removes all the challenging bits of being a tank with absurd movement. His other skills, such as Embry Bolt, are equally undemanding, but the Heat Shield is undoubtedly his arsenal’s highlight.
