Building custom rollercoasters in Planet Coaster 2 isn’t the easiest process. While the new build ui does make it far more intuitive to place and adjust pieces, it doesn’t help with understanding G-Force, and how to build a coaster that is fun but won’t make all your guests sick.

Planet Coaster 2: How To Build Custom Rollercoasters
Test your engineering skills with a custom coaster!
Fortunately, the game also has a range of blueprints available. Unfortunately, career goals require rides with specific excitement, fear or nausea ratings, or more annoyingly, set out criteria based on track length, speed, or biggest drop. So, we’ve collected together all the essential stats you may need to know about every pre-built rollercoaster blueprint in Planet Coaster 2.
All rollercoaster sizes are based on a standard path grid and include the two longest measurements for length and width. Measurements are approximate as most blueprints will not take up the entire area due to variations in shape.
Chainlift Rollercoasters
Chainlift coasters allow the trains to be lifted up hills via chainlifts. They are some of the cheapest coasters to build and are unlocked early in the game. Different types of chainlift coaster have features such as loops, rolls, inversions, helixes, and tight corners. You’ll also find common train variants, including mine trains, floorless, and standing carriages.
Basic Stats For Chainlift Coasters
This table contains all the basic stats for the chainlift coaster blueprints including cost, default prestige rating, and size, as well as the core stats of excitement, fear, and nausea.
Advanced Stats For Chainlift Coasters
This table includes all the stats which you may need for some later career mode levels, including maximum and average speeds, track length and largest drop.
Launched And Alternate Lift Coasters
Launched Coasters are boosted by hydraulics or electromagnets. This means longer platforms, but coasters can be boosted vertically, adding new ways to build. Some can invert, while others can’t. This category also includes a couple of hybrids which have hydraulics and chain lifts.
The Alternate Lift Coasters category has some cross over with the above, but mostly focuses on more unique lift methods, such as friction wheel lifts and drive tyre lifts. This category includes a diverse range of coasters, from junior coasters to incredibly flexible circuit coasters.
Basic Stats For Launched And Alternate Lift CoastersThis table contains all the basic stats for both launched and alternate lift coasters split up into different sections to avoid confusion.
Advanced Stats For Launched And Alternate Lift Coasters
These advanced stats are again divided by type to allow you to find the stats you need.

Money allows you to build everything quickly in Planet Coaster 2, so you’ll need to know how to make a lot of it quickly.
Wooden, Suspended, And Wing Coasters
Wooden Coasters are traditionally designed and offer a rough and wild ride, reminiscent of days gone by. The hybrid designs allow for wooden frames to be combined with more modern steel rails.
Suspended Coasters have the tracks running above the trains, meaning narrower tracks with twisting and snaking runs. Most of these designs are cable lifts, while one uses induction motors which allow a coaster to boost its natural momentum.
Wing Coasters have wide floorless cars, with the outer seats hanging over the tracks. They are often full of inversions and can bank steeply.
Basic Stats For Wooden, Suspended, And Wing Coasters
Below are the basic stats for wooden, suspended, and wing coasters, which are a nice flexible addition to your park.
Advanced Stats For Suspended, Wooden, And Wing Coasters
These advanced stats will help you locate coasters with specific numbers of inversions, since the majority of these have multiple.

Water And Special Coasters
Water Coasters include log flume style coasters as well as some with splashdown areas that have metal tracks and cars. These coasters are generally slower and cannot invert. They are also suitable for all ages, unlike many of the larger coasters.
Special coasters are a range of more niche coasters which you’ll mostly unlock late on. They include spinning coaster cars, a mine train with swaying cars, and one where the cars can move independently of the chassis.
Basic Stats For Water And Special Coasters
Water and special coasters have unique properties, meaning even the basic stats are often different to others. These coasters vary hugely in price, size, and style as you can see from these stats.
