First revealed during the 2024 Summer Game Fest, Rita’s Rewind is a 2D beat-em-up that looks straight out of the 90s. Fans can play as Jason, Zack, Trini, Billy, and Kimberly, and pilot the Dinozords to defeat the gigantic monsters threatening Angel Grove. The Rangers will also clash with Robo-Rita, a robotic clone of longtime series villain Rita Repulsa. Originally from the Netflix special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always, Robo-Rita traveled back in time to assist her younger self and stop the Power Rangers during their early days. Rita’s Rewind will have both online and offline couch co-op, with support for up to five players planned.

Digital Eclipse posted an update on social media and said that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will arrive on Tuesday, December 10 on all platforms, including the Switch. Ergo, the Switch port of Rita’s Rewind is no longer delayed, and the game’s launch will be consistent across all current platforms. Digital Eclipse clarified that some online features will be released after launch, with two-player online co-op play on PC and PlayStation available at first.
