My Hero Academia recently dropped an epilogue to the story with the release of its last volume, and it is safe to say that fans are absolutely delighted to see their heroes once again. With the release of My Hero Academia chapter 430 earlier this year, fans were unsure as to what path the series would be taking from here onwards. It is safe to say that My Hero Academia certainly holds a lot of potential for a sequel story. After all, the Heroes were only in their early school days throughout the vast majority of the story and fans didn’t really get to see them carry out their duties as Pro heroes.

Deku and Ochaco’s relationship is finally confirmed by Horikoshi. They are officially together.
As such, the potential for a My Hero Academia sequel is always going to be there. With My Hero Academia chapter 431, which Horikoshi considers to be the epilogue of the story, a proper look is delivered of the former UA Class 1A students, who are now Pro Heroes. Among these students, Bakugo was always likely to shine, and the epilogue focused quite a bit on his character, revealing exciting bits of information, including his hero rank, which has shocked quite a lot of readers.
Bakugo’s Incredible Strength Shown In The Final War
- Bakugo Is Among The Mightiest In The World
- Bakugo’s Hero Rank Isn’t Reflective Of His Power
It is safe to say that Bakugo is incredibly powerful and that he possesses mighty strength. Ever since the beginning of the story, Bakugo was perceived to be someone destined to reach the stars. As the story continued, Bakugo, aided by his rivalry with Deku, continued to get stronger. In the Final War saga, he managed to push himself to the next level, especially after he returned from a near death state, having undergone Quirk Awakening. Bakugo’s new explosive powers were strong enough for him to fight evenly against All For One, despite him feeling pain in every inch of his body, and hardly having the strength required to move. Despite that, Bakugo was able to defeat All For One, which only went to show that his real strength, when fully healthy, would far surpass the display he gave in the battle against All For One. Now, as a Pro Hero, Bakugo must be even stronger, and it goes absolutely without saying that he is going to be among the strongest right now, potentially even being the strongest himself.
Do your best, Izuku! – Bakugo
Unfortunately, while hero rankings were hinted at, at the end of My Hero Academia, they were not explicitly revealed by the author. The only thing fans were told was that Mirio Togata, who was previously dubbed to be the man closest to All Might, was revealed as the Number One Hero. This did not come as much of a surprise to the fans, but what was certainly underwhelming was the fact that the Hero rankings of the vast majority Of class 1A, and along with them, other aspiring heroes, was not revealed.
Thankfully, the epilogue of My Hero Academia saw to it that the vast majority of the rankings that matter were finally revealed to the fans, and it is safe to say that some of them are incredibly surprising, to say the least. Bakugo, who fans know to be one of the strongest Heroes, is also given a very shocking rank, which some fans find incredibly hard to believe.
Bakugo’s Hero Rankings Are Finally Revealed
In My Hero Academia’s epilogue, it was made clear to the fans that Bakugo is not among the top 10 Heroes at all. This was shocking for all the fans, especially given his performance in the Final War Saga, and at the same time, the level of strength that he possesses. Bakugo, at this point in time, should be at the peak of his abilities, with the potential to grow even stronger. As such, Bakugo should be higher up the hero rankings. However, his recent rank has been revealed to be falling consistently, which is down to his bad character. Bakugo is not the friendliest of people, and he doesn’t know how to socialize properly. His harsh and erratic behavior has led to his rank falling consistently.
In My Hero Academia chapter 431, it was revealed to the fans that Bakugo debuted in the Hero Billboard chart as the number 4 Hero. This rank was quite impressive, even though it could still have been higher. However, for a first entry into the Hero Billboard, this was certainly decent, to say the least. But, ever since then, Bakugo’s ranking consistently fell and eventually, it reached Rank 15. Right now, Bakugo is the 15th ranked Hero in Japan, which certainly puts him far away from ever becoming anything like All Might.

My Hero Academia: Horikoshi Reveals The Top 10 Heroes At The End Of The Series
Horikoshi finally reveals the top 10 heroes in Japan. The rankings are shocking.
This is outrageous, to say the least, especially when fans know that there are other Heroes who did not have the most likable personalities and went on to claim extremely high positions on the hero billboard. This reveal has rightly garnered a shocking reaction from the fans, and one can only hope that Bakugo climbs the ladder further in the future after working on his demeanor.
While it is clear for the fans to see that Bakugo’s ranking is shocking, it also goes to show that his character has undergone quite a lot of growth. At one point, Bakugo would have been absolutely furious about not having the highest ranking. Now, Bakugo doesn’t care about being the Number One. He doesn’t care about just winning anymore, and for him, saving people is just as important. Bakugo’s contention with the fact that he is the 15th hero in Japan goes to show his personal growth. At this point, Bakugo is aware of the fact that he is among the strongest, potentially even the strongest himself, and major rankings don’t make him a better Hero. Bakugo carries out his justice according to how he sees fit, and that is what makes him a special character.
Does Bakugo Deserve To Be Higher?
Bakugo’s Ranking Could Easily Have Been Higher
Undoubtedly, Bakugo deserves to be higher on the Hero Billboard. Even if he does have a very rash personality, Bakugo’s strength overshadows all that and one absolutely cannot ignore the good that he does. Some of the weakest heroes being above him absolutely does not sit right with the fans, but, to Bakugo himself, it appears almost as if it doesn’t matter anymore. Bakugo isn’t craving the top spot in the Hero Rankings anymore, even though he still admires All Might and wants to be more like him, potentially even wanting to surpass him.
Bakugo simply doesn’t care about the numbers. If he goes higher in the future, he would certainly be happy, but if he doesn’t, it wouldn’t make much of a difference to him, because his life is accomplished and he knows that he can only get stronger and be a better hero from here onwards.
