Now, with the newest PlayStation Anniversary Bundle, it’s fun to look back at all the previous limited edition consoles and see how they have changed from year to year. To celebrate Sony producing PlayStation consoles for 30 years, we’ve decided to add a few new entries to the list.
19 Sony PlayStation 2 Ocean Blue Console
Worth: $250
This version of the PlayStation 2 is called the Ocean Blue model. It looks somewhat similar to the regular version of the PlayStation 2 but instead of having opaque black plastic, it has a semi-transparent, navy blue plastic casing.
This version of the console was exclusively released in Japan. There were a pretty good number of them made, but the fact that it was a region-exclusive console makes it hard to get for a lot of gamers now. Still, the semi-transparent plastic of the console and controller are pretty cool. Picking up one of these can set you back around $250 now.

In 2009, the PSP game Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show featuring the Disney Channel character launched alongside a limited edition lavender PSP.
These days, this limited edition Hannah Montana purple PSP has become quite a collector’s item. Most of the people collecting this handheld console probably want it for the unique color, but it’s pretty cool either way. In order to get your hands on one, prepare to pay about $321.
17 Sony PS Vita Slim Minecraft

Minecraft is a sandbox-style open-world game that allows you to do whatever you want. You can build, explore, and face off against various types of enemies.
The game was even released on the PS Vita. In Japan, a special edition console themed after Minecraft was released. It has a white body with Minecraft creatures on the back and two tools on either side. It came bundled with the game and a special Minecraft-themed console case. Getting one today will cost you $338.

Hatsune Miku is the name of a character that represents a Vocaloid software. The character is a virtual teenage girl with long, turquoise pigtails that has become a hugely popular figure in Japanese pop culture. Hatsune Miku has appeared in commercials for Toyota, Dominos, Family Mart, and more.

This limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro was released to celebrate the launch of God of War, a popular mythology-based action game that launched in 2018. It’s the eighth game in the series and turned it toward more Norse mythology than the previous games.
This console is a gray and white color with yellow accents. All over the console and the controller are symbols from the game and the controller has the God of War logo on it. Although this console has gone for as much as $1,400 in the past, it’s usually closer to $500 to $600 to buy.

Although everyone may be talking about the 2018 God of War game that launched for the PS4 in 2018, the limited edition PSP that celebrated the launch of God of War: Chains of Olympus back in 2008 has become super rare as well.
This bundle came with a bright red PSP and a copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus, a copy of the movie Superbad, and a digital download code for the game Syphon Filter: Combat Ops. If you’re looking to get this bundle brand new in its original packaging, it can go for up to $750, but a used one is significantly cheaper.
13 PlayStation 4 Taco Bell Gold Edition

The PlayStation 4 Taco Bell Gold Edition was another PlayStation console that wasn’t sold but rather won through a contest. The contest, which took place in 2015 through Taco Bell, produced only 6,500 consoles and gave them away.

This special edition of PlayStation was released to celebrate Sony’s 20th anniversary of releasing PlayStations. It was available for pre-order in late December 2014 with only 12,300 of the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition made and released.
The console and the controller are the gray color of the original PlayStation to pay homage to it. The console has little etchings of squares and triangles and the number 20 repeating itself. There is a small plate attached in the bottom corner to let you know what unit number you bought.
