Intel has officially announced its next generation GPUs in the Arc series, the Arc B580 and B570. There seems to be only two GPUs in the lineup for now, and they both target 1440p gaming. The Arc B-series brings the latest and greatest Intel technologies, like XeSS 2 for improved super sampling and XMX AI for accelerated AI workloads. Intel says that compared to the previous generation, the new GPUs offer 70% better performance per Xe-core and 50% better performance per watt.

Intel Arc B-Series GPUs: Specifications and Features
The Intel Arc A-series of GPUs present a budget friendly 1080p and 1440p gaming experience, and the new B-series builds on the same foundation, offering “best-in-class value for performance at price points that are accessible to most gamers.” The new GPUs are based on Intel’s latest Xe2 architecture bringing second-generation Xe-cores and high-performance XMX AI engines.

The new Xe-cores enable XeSS 2, Intel’s super sampling technology. XeSS 2 includes XeSS Super Resolution, XeSS Frame Generation, and Xe Low Latency. Both Nvidia and AMD have counterparts for these technologies as well. The Frame Generation is AI-based, and all three technologies work together to offer an excellent 1440p gaming experience.
Intel Arc B580
The Arc B580 is the more performance-focused offering, boasting 20 Xe cores, 20 RT units, a clock speed of 2670 MHz, and 12GB GDDR6 VRAM. It also has a TBP of 190W. Interestingly, while it has more RAM, it comes with fewer Xe cores and fewer Intel XMX engines than the previous generation Arc A580. However, these newer cores are more performant and efficient.
Intel compares the Arc B580 with the higher-tier Arc A750, claiming it can perform 24% faster on average at 1440p, with some games running up to 78% faster. In terms of other GPUs in the $250-300 range, the Arc B580 offers up to 32% better performance-per-dollar, according to the company.

The Best GPU Upgrades For AMD’s Zen 5-Based Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs
AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series CPUs offer a new Zen 5 core and better gen-on-gen performance. Here are some of the best GPUs to pair with them.
The GPU has been priced at $259 and board partners like Acer, ASRock, GUNNIR, ONIX Technology, MAXSUN, and Sparkle will be making their versions of the card. These will be available starting December 13. Most of the board partners have product pages live for the Arc B580 and B570 GPUs already.
Intel Arc B570
The even more affordable Arc B570 comes with 18 Xe cores and 18 RT units, with 10GB GDDR6 VRAM. The clock speed is 2500 MHz, and it can draw 150W of power, making it an efficient offering. Once again, both the Xe core count and RT units are lower than the previous generation Arc A570, but still significantly higher than the Arc A380 GPU. It has more VRAM than both of them as well, so considering the number of cores and performance improvements per core, the Arc B570 should perform as well as the A580, if not better.
Priced at $219, the Intel Arc B570 will be available from the same board partners starting January 16, 2025.
Notably, the WEELIAO GUNNIR Intel Arc B580 Index Graphics Card is already listed on Amazon and is priced at $379, which is quite a bit more than Intel’s price. The GPU comes with a dual-fan cooling system and an all-black design, with seemingly no RGB lighting.
