Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements demand ray tracing GPU

What are the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements?  To get the maximum enjoyment possible from chasing down ancient treasure, you’re going to need nothing less than a modern, high-end gaming PC. Anything older is going to put you in trouble, because this game is simply greedy for your system resources across the board. In fact, you’ll need a GPU with hardware ray tracing to even meet the minimum specs.

The requirements for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are hard-hitting, with two separate lists for standard and ray-tracing gameplay. If you want to run this game on the highest Ultra settings, with full ray tracing enabled, you’re going to need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, the best graphics card you can buy. However, if you’re happy to play Indy at 1,080p on low presets, you’ll be okay with a less powerful rig, but you’re still going to need a GPU that supports ray tracing.

Here are the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements:

If you’re worried about whether your PC has enough juice, take our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle system requirements PC benchmark test to answer… Can I run Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?

The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle minimum system requirements are pretty stringent, leaving old GTX 10-series GeForce cards in the dust. You’ll need at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super, an AMD Radeon RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580 graphics card, as well as an Intel Core i7 10700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU to be able to play this game at 1,080p using the Low graphics preset, targeting 60fps with minimal ray tracing.

That’s righteven on low, you’re still going to need ray tracing enabled, with the required hardware to support it. It might be time to retire your trusty GTX card if you’re still using it. Should you want to take advantage of the game’s full ray tracing support, which really pushes the ray tracing hard, you’ll need an even better GPU, too. That means upgrading to an Nvidia RTX 40-series GPU such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 12GB or better.

To be clear, even for this bare minimum preset, you’ll still need a graphics card capable of supporting ray tracing. You’ll also need at least 16GB of RAM available which, alongside the hard GPU requirements, puts several older PCs and gaming laptops out to pasture, unless you upgrade to a new kit of the best gaming RAM.

The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle recommended system requirements are even harsher. You’ll need an even faster GPU, starting with either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7700XT or better. For the CPU, this game expects an Intel Core i7 12700K, AMD Ryzen 7 7700, or better.

These specs mean you’ll need a GPU or CPU released within the last two to three years to be able to play this new Indiana Jones game at 1440p on High graphics presets. The RAM requirements are doubled too, requiring at least 32GB.

To enjoy full ray tracing support, you’ll need another jump in graphics card architecture, shifting instead to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 16GB or better to play at 1440p.

To meet Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Ultra system requirements, you’re going to need nothing less than a powerhouse PC. To start, you’ll need an Intel Core i9 13900K or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X or better as your gaming CPU, while the GPU requirements get dialed up further, requiring an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, AMD Radeon RX 7900XT, or better.

32GB remains the RAM requirement for the Ultra graphics preset which, combined with the hefty GPU and CPU requirements, will unlock 4K gameplay targeting 60fps. If you’ve got the best gaming PC out there, you might be able to dial this game up to the max by enabling full ray tracing on Ultra, but only an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card will be sufficient to do so.

Not only that, but even with an RTX 4090, you’ll still have to enable frame generation in Nvidia DLSS 3 in order to hit that 60fps target, and the same goes for all the other full ray tracing specs.

This game is a beast, so not only will you need GPU power, but you’ll also need plenty of storage space. The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle download size is 120GB, and you’ll want one of the best gaming SSDs that you can find to avoid any loading time bottlenecks. The WD Black SN850X is a good option if a new SSD is required here, offering great performance at an affordable price.

Unfortunately, these system requirements just aren’t good news if you were hoping to play Indy on a PC or gaming laptop that’s more than a few years old.
