More than just letting you climb up a little bit though, wall scrambling is part of a wider array of new movement which could even have impressive functions with builds. - Head towards a wall
- Jump into it
- Hold jump button again to start to scramble up the wall
That it! Although, pulling of a wall kick is similar too. The trick is to watch what angle you scrambling up at, so you don’t turn a scramble into a kick! Scrambling can be interrupted by a mantle, then scramble again in some places. Letting you get significantly higher up a building.

The initial use for a wall scramble is pretty obvious. You can now climb up higher walls. Coincidentally, the new map seems to have every ledge being just out of mantle range and in that of a wall scramble then mantle. However, there’s a bit more to do with this.
Scrambling used properly on builds and chained with wall kicks can give you a lot more verticality. You’ll need to watch out for fall damage, but it can help you take high ground much quicker. Simplify your builds and more. These new movement mechanics are a bit fresh to get into too much tech with them yet, but they look promising for opening things up. The best Fortnite players will likely find plenty of ways to take these new mechanics to the next level.
