One of the amazing things about Stalker 2‘s world is the dynamic weather effects that look and feel realistic. One of these weather phenomena is a giant Tornado Anomaly in the northwest part of the world that’s moving around the shipyard and wreaking havoc in the area. Any player’s first instinct would be to stay away from such a terrifying force of nature, but going into the anomaly and positioning yourself in the right place will reward you with the legendary Weird Bolt artifact in Stalker 2.

How to Get the Weird Bolt Artifact in Stalker 2

Players need to reach Yaniv, the northwest region of the map, to get the Weird Bolt artifact in Stalker 2. Right west of Yaniv’s base, players will arrive at a shipyard with a giant tornado anomaly. The artifact is in the eye of the tornado and that’s where you need to go. However, simply rushing into the Tornado anomaly will immediately knock players back, eventually lowering their HP to zero.

So, here’s a way to reach the center of the Tornado anomaly and get the Weird Bolt artifact in Stalker 2 without dying:


  1. Reach the Shipyard and enter the Tornado Anomalous zone in the Yaniv region.
  2. Wait for the tornado to go past the rusted platform. After it’s gone, quickly go up the platform and find a stack of boxes next to a train carriage.
  3. Climb over the boxes and jump to the next container to begin a small parkour puzzle to reach the center of the Tornado Anomaly.
  4. Next, climb over the container and jump to the two containers with a small path in between.
  5. After traversing over the containers, you’ll need to jump over 2 gaps to reach the container on the far right.
  6. Now look right, and hop over the next few containers until you reach the start of the crane arm.
  7. Climb on top of the crane arm and make sure your HP is full to avoid dying from the Tornado anomaly.
  8. Make sure to save your game at this point, just in case you cannot grab the artifact on your first try.
  9. Wait for the Tornado to come to your location and you’ll be knocked back as it starts to pass.
  10. Quickly get on your feet and look towards the right side of the crane’s top to spot the Weird Bolt artifact flying by. You’ll have only one attempt at grabbing the artifact. If you couldn’t grab it in time, reload your recent save and try again.
  11. Once you have the Weird Bolt artifact, wait for the Tornado anomaly to pass and safely make your way down the crane and exit the shipyard.


Now you finally have the Weird Bolt legendary artifact in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

How to Use Weird Bolt Artifact in Stalker 2

The Weird Bolt artifact offers a significant amount of damage reduction (~70%) taken from all types of anomalies in Stalker 2. Once you equip the artifact in your quick access slot, it has a red glow (seen in the inventory), signifying that it’s ready to be used. However, after negating some damage, it’ll lose the red glow, which indicates the artifact needs to be charged.

It’s recommended that you unequip this artifact to avoid the side effect of the weird bolt after it’s discharged, which is that your stamina consumption is increased. If there’s an emission happening, make sure to step outside before it strikes to recharge the Weird Bolt artifact.
