Nine years after the launch of The Witcher 3, one gamer discovers a scene that was cut from the final version of the popular open-world RPG.
The House of Respite is a leisure club that hosts parties for the elite in the world of the Witcher. Here, Nilfgaardian officers blow some steam after enduring grueling battles. The House of Respite is located southeast of Velen, and this guide will cover everything there is to know about accessing this leisure club, along with other useful information.
Steps for Getting into the House of Respite in The Witcher 3
When you visit the House of Respite, you will be prevented from entering the premises. Upon interacting with the guards, you will be asked to shoo away. However, you can access this area fairly quickly, that too, without cheats or mods, by following these simple steps:
- Head to the merchant at Crow’s Perch.
- Talk to the merchant.
- Select “ What are you offering?”
- Buy the Nilfgaardian Armor, Nilfgaardian Boots, Nilfgaardian Trousers, and Nilfgaardian Gauntlets.
- Equip the Nilfgaardian Armor set.
- Return to the House of Respite.
- The guards will move away as you make your way to the gate.
- You will now be able to enter the House of Respite.
You can also enter the House of Respite by wearing the outfit you wore during your meeting with Emhyr in the Prologue.
Alternative Way to Get Into the House of Respite
Interestingly, if you do not want to go through the hassle of heading to Crow’s Perch and spending your precious Crowns on a Nilfgaardian Armor set, you can glitch your way into the House of Respite. The glitch is pretty simple: Clip through the invisible barrier at the gate by getting off Roach in front of the gate. When you want to leave the House of Respite, repeat the process.
While there is not much to do at the House of Respite, you can find a Nilfgaardian Helmet as soon as you enter the house at the far right window.
